The Crinn have been around a while, and I've been a big fan of theirs, but I guess they're still pretty unknown. I've loved Frontierer for a year now. Everything else on there is new to me, looking forward to listening to this.

Haha that's great, wasn't that when they delayed all of furnace fest for hours, because of that powder fire extinguisher?

I don't remember that - doesn't mean it didn't happen. I remember it being Underoath's last show with one of their original guitarists (or maybe they were just talking about it being his last tour). That was when they had the original singer. And I think the singer of Norma Jean announced he was leaving the band. And BTBAM was on the freaking side-stage (that bands had to pay to play on) - the crowd was just on the grass for it. An instant dust cloud covered the entire crowd the second he hit the "let's kill them all" part of Shevanel Cut A Flip.

I remember feeling awkward when I went to get some food, and was was in McDonald's packed with black people and I was the only white kid. I thought "huh, I guess this is a small taste of what it feels like to be a minority". Then the lady taking my order called "slim shady".

We ran into some girls from California and went to lunch together. Since I'm from Tennessee, they asked me "So do you like...have roads and stuff?"

That's about all my memories (besides some band performances heh). I have terrible memories.

Being in TN, I should have went to a lot more Krazyfests. I only went to one, because Zao was playing there (hence my terrible username).

I loved their first two, but was really "what the hell" with Minus the Herd. I didn't know they had one come out since then. This one seems pretty decent musically (only listened to a few tracks), but drat these lyrics seem terrible. Usually I don't overly care about metal lyrics, but they're being distracting at times. If your lyrics are going to be lovely, cliche, and immature, at least make them unintelligible.

Still, good to see musically that I think this closer to Solace than Minus the Herd (no idea about their previous release).

That said I fired up the album on Spotify and I'm enjoying it. Musically much more interesting to me than the "Slaughter to Prevail" that I was giving a whirl.

Except after the intro track which leads directly into the next one, where Spotify decided to interject a really loud and sudden "MOTHER'S DAY BLAH BLAH BLAH" which was pretty great timing.

I mean, sure, sometimes people got hit, but generally if you were intentionally swinging into people, people shut your poo poo down.

That said, I effectively always stayed around for everything. Usually for me though it was the other way around - I was there for the headliner, and I would listen to the opening acts even if I didn't like them.

The amount of times I've walked out on an opening band, or left before the headliner, could probably be counted on one hand.

Edit: that said, the internet is more of a thing these days. If I had checked out the band beforehand and knew I really didn't care for them, that'd probably affect things. "Back in my day" that was how I heard new bands a lot of the time.
