I've been told the cat thread in yospos is a cool and good place to post my cat. I hope this is the thread. Quill is 12 weeks old and I just took her today for her second round of vaccinations. She did really well at the vet and barely noticed anything even happened:  But an hour or so later she started to give me looks like this  and now she's just feeling lovely and holding her favorite toy and resting, and getting lots of affection and comforting pats

Update: She's now purring and stretching in her bed. Not really interested in eating or anything yet but she seems fine. Last time, for her first shots she was out of it almost the entire next day and didn't eat or drink for nearly 24 hours so this seems an improvement.

Yo Quill would loooove to be in that. Her main activities are play fighting me and jumping all over the place/stalking me in preparation to fight me again. So I guess they use ketamine for sedation then? It causes that kind of hypersalivation. I was wondering what they're going to use on Quill. What age should I even be getting her spayed? 4 months is coming up soon which seems crazy fast.

Hi Marcy! I'm so sorry about Ash. I actually have been trying to figure out how long it will take before I stop getting super sad pretty much daily thinking about one day having to put my cat down :c is this just new cat dad poo poo and it'll go away? I had this experience with a dog years ago and I guess it left more of a mark on me than I realized. I feel like it's getting better and I can appreciate her without having that in the back of my head. You get a bit more subject separation also. Something like an 85/1.8 would be even better, I don't know what exists in the canon space at what price point. Don't be afraid to look up third party lenses like tamron, sigma, etc. For actually shooting with the camera I'd set it to aperture priority and set it as wide as it can go (lowest number) for your indoor shots. Setting it to auto will probably just already do this since you'll be limited by light anyways.
