It's pretty impressive the difference in atmosphere between these two, presumably taken just a few minutes apart. The first one seems like a decent snapshot and then the second one is :psyduck:. I love taking pictures in the mountains, it might be a pretty cool project to take photos of the same views in different weather conditions.

Lot of exceptional photos here this year; not everyone is going to like every shot, but 1, 4, 22, and 43 are my personal picks. The last one in particular I can imagine the photographer opening that splitsecond capture in Lightroom and fistpumping

49 gets an honourable mention for it being amusing :)

Think I more or less agree with your picks, but 36, 38 and 45 are pretty good too.

i just saw these, too. did you find them looking on flikr for people that used the lenses that are for that kickstarter P&S LF camera?

No, I came across them a while back when I was searching for Provia 100 on 4x5.

Also that Gronsky stuff is great, thanks Reichstag.

I really like this series of stacked photographs. The colors and textures are great:

Cool technique, although I'm not super keen on the stutters in the smears. I'd like to try it with somewhat smaller intervals between shots.

Dietmar Eckell (warning: annoying Flash portfolio)
This guy does pictures of disused, wrecked and decaying stuff like you've seen many times before, but I think he does it pretty well. Planes, boats, Olympic venues, military installations, churches and all sorts from all over the world in varying states of falling apart.

Holy poo poo. Clicked the link without context and it honestly took me about a minute to work out that those weren't four separate photos. Some of his other stuff is pretty great too, definitely worth clicking around on that site for a bit.

I've done this a few times and always end up cutting my soft hands on the sharp metal and getting blood on everything. Bottle openers are the way to go.

Anyone got recommendations for cool photographer instagrams? I'm kinda late on the bandwagon and so far the only one I have is Mathieu Venot (https://www.instagram.com/legrandbazar/)
