Here's a play through of Mega Man Revolution if anyone is interested in seeing it in video:

Edit: It's a play through of an old version so there are probably differences.

Also if we are still talking about music I like the stage select themes.

Also Massimo's beam powered up as the game went on too, so it wasn't just Axl who improved over time. And I think Zero gained more commands?

I think Massimo powered up by reaching certain damage milestones and Zero gained more depending on how many commands you entered.

The problem is they both only had 2 stages/commands locked and with Zero you needed to do 300 commands to learn one and 999 to learn which is annoying considering how late he rejoins.

At least X and Zero got alternate super modes. I remember Absolute Zero and Command Mission Ultimate Armor being really cool.

We’ve seen the PC version of Mighty No. 9 before. Today’s demo is running on a PC but using an Xbox One controller, but who’s developing the 3DS version?

Right, so the 3DS version, as well as the PlayStation Vita version, is being handled by a different company called Engine Software, a developer based in the Netherlands. They’re handling the porting work. Well, it’s not really porting work anymore. We actually had to rebuild the game from scratch because of the difference between the console versions and the handheld versions.

Before it was being handled by Abstraction Games. A tweet of them confirming it.

I think almost all of the X3 upgrades were kinda awkward in a way. Everyone has talked about the buster, but I could never get a hang of the up dash because of the delay at the start and the helmet was useless and just made replaying the regular stages annoying since it has stop you to bring up a map which you can't bring up ever again unless you restart the stage.

You need to talk to Roll to fly to the different islands or do any weapon stuff and she disappears from bridge until you see the scene. I can tolerate stuff like that and I exaggerated when I said I hated it since it's short, but it is annoying how much is blocked until you do it.

To be fair, he wasn't a bulletsponge they only made it look like he was to give the impression he's super powerful or something like that. You only had to reduce his health down to a certain point and he would just leave, iirc you didn't have to knock off a whole lot either.

Regardless the reward was not worth it, so you're still right in that it is loving stupid.

Mega Man Legends is seen by some as an absolute slog of a game with terrible mechanics, and I promise you that if Volnutt, Caskett, and crew weren't good and memorable characters, Legends probably wouldn't be regarded by much of anyone at all.

Actually that's an exaggeration. I think MML is sort of ok, pretty mediocre in the gameplay department(and I strongly dislike all the anime archetypes that the characters are, especially Tron and her family, so the story does nothing for me either) but very good looking for a low poly game.
That's because it looks almost nothing like the design its based on

That's fair and I will say the amount of fights you can win no issue by running circles around the enemy is super high.

I like how it affects boss battles. There's no way to heal, but the HP drain doesn't kill you so that means the longer you let the battle go on the more careful or better you have to play. It's a good way to promote the speed aspect the playstyle is asking for.

you can if you mash shots at them enough times, and outside the tutorial enemy which outright disables your shot until you absorb them, you could just straight up murder everything with enough patience. Bosses however start regenerating their health after about 3-4 seconds if you dont dash into them to absorb it, and you cant damage them further once the regen starts happening. The dash's hitbox is extremely generous with what counts, you dont have to really anywhere close to crashing into them for it to count, just try to make sure you dont trigger thier regen while they're on the opposite side of the screen doing a big attack or they'll start regenerating before you reach them.
On the opposite end you cant seem to do pacifist runs as you occasionally get locked in and told the only way to get out is to kill everything. There is a part in challenge mode where you have to go through it without being able to attackso some stuff might show up there.

Ok I'm willing to admit this game might actually be fun to play. The challenges seem neat, and Im curious how Call plays since it wouldn't make sense for her to have the absorb mechanic(but then she would need it for co op so who knows).

She has her own stage in the 2015 build if you want find out now:
