hayden. posted:Kawasaki had (or still has) a $50/month credit card that lasts a year or two. An acquaintance of mine was pissed when, a year or two later, he still owed the entire MSRP+fees+service plan. He didn't realize this until he was trying to sell the bike for some extra cash, only to realize selling it would actually cost him considerably. Yep, I went to a Kawi dealer just to check things out, see what I was missing by getting an older bike vs. a new one. The salesman didn't care that I wanted to look at the EX250, EX500, and some naked standard V-twins and rather told me about how I could get on a literbike for $50/mo.

http://austin.craigslist.org/mcy/1695532178.html I'm guessing this would be the worst starter bike known to mankind. Would be so much more exiting than an SV650 or EX500. (I'm not actually considering buying it, turbo bikes are just so ). quote:1982 Honda CX500 TURBO - $2500 (Cedar Creek)

Shouldn't be as twitchy as a sportbike, and I'm not seeing any reasons why it should be prohibitively expensive to own. Would an 80s shaft drive cause weird handling issues?

I know that this isn't legally a motorcycle, but I think it would be appreciated here: http://houston.craigslist.org/bik/4304239946.html quote:I am selling my custom motorized bike. This bike was built to ride. It is super sturdy and reliable unlike most of the thrown together junk online. It will do well over 35mph but it is geared for a cruising speed of about 27mph. I have ridden it just enough to break it in and work out all the bugs, about 500miles. Any bets on how long a bicycle with a heavy engine strapped to it, fat rider, and only rear rim brakes takes to stop from 35mph?

A friend of mine is wondering about what it would cost to get a $300 abandoned CB750 running reliably: http://houston.craigslist.org/mcy/4415133285.html I'm assuming that they're selling it because the answer is "too much". Whats parts availability like for these guys?

APikeyReaction posted:Seems like a good deal.... This was sarcasm, right? That's really expensive for a 13 year old bike. I see well sorted K-1200RS on cycletrader and craigslist around $6k asking.
