If you want a terrible movie about sea creatures, check out Mega Shark Vs Giant Octopus. It is so amazingly bad.

One of my favorite things is that for lightning, they don't use light, they just switch it to black and white real quick.

More than makes up for that terrible terrible 2 Headed Shark, which wasn't even laughably bad and didn't have decent breasts. If you're going to be a lovely horror movie, at least do one of those right.

Another terribly good terrible cheesy movie: Dinosaur Island. Some army guys wind up on a mysterious island where they battle dinosaur hand puppets and bikini-clad cave-women frequently take their tops off. There's tons of tits and dinosaurs.

Hahaha, this movie is awesome. It's basically a skinemax flick with dinosaurs.

"Oh your arm is hurt? Let me take off my top, dip your arm in water and then gently caress you!"

Edit; There's a dinosaur with purple hair, wtf.

The Man From Nowhere is an awesome South Korean movie. It's a more badass version of the movie Taken, with awesome fights.

And The Host is a great monster flick, with some very dark comedy.

I found some good controversial movies that stream to Netflix.

Red State
Rampage (2009)
Irreversible
The Brown Bunny
The Girl Next Door
Ma Mere
I Saw the Devil
Megan is Missing
The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover
Masters of Horror: Imprint
Antichrist
The Human Centipede
Santa Sangre
Caligula

The Brown Bunny is only controversial because Chloe Sevigny performed oral sex on film, and you can just google the scene if you want.

Megan is Missing because it's a boring as hell movie until the last 20 minutes when it gets hosed up. Again, I would just google it if you really really want to see it. (I wouldn't)

And Caligula is pretty much just porn.

That movie is horrible, though the doctor can be unintentionally hilarious at times, especially when the two women don't see anything off about him despite how creepy he is.

I just got the Netflix trial on my ps3 and I'm glad I did it now because Mary And Max is only available until the 1st of August. God, I love that movie. For anyone who hasn't seen it, it's a dark comedy claymation about two pen pals; a little girl in Australia and a middle aged man with Asperger's syndrome who lives in New York. The dialogue is fantastic and there were a few scenes that made me cry. It's also not a kids movie.

I feel bad for any parents who got suckered by the claymation and got that movie for their kids. Their kids are going to be scarred. I loved the movie, but wooooowee, that is not a kids movie.

This is an intense movie. I had trouble making it through and ended up turning it off halfway through, made especially worse by my familiarity with the actual story its based on.

Yeah, the same thing happened with me. Though I'm not sure I actually got half way through it, it was just too much, mainly because it involved kids.

If you find the movie interesting at all you really owe it to yourself to read the book. It's a whole hell of a lot better. Also way way more depressing to boot!

Yeah I've already gotten it on DVD and watched it instantly before. I was just trying to watch the part where older H.W tells Daniel he's going to Mexico. Love that scene. Did that need spoiler tags?

"I'm going to Mexico with my wife. I'm going away from you."

There Will Be Blood chat:

Yeah, I love that scene, it's just a whole 'holy poo poo' scene.

I've seen the movie numerous times, and everytime I see it, I notice something new in a scene that makes me appreciate it even more.

And the soundtrack is amazing. Not in a 'I'll listen to this when I get home" kind of way, but it works perfectly for what you are seeing.

The Man from Nowhere

This movie is like the best movie ever made. I gush over it all the time, I have the blu ray, if you want to see a korean dude gently caress every goddamned persons poo poo up while you cheer him on, this is the movie.

But to add on to it, and agree with a lot of what RCSA said:

Chaser (Super dark noir film.)
The Vengeance series (Super violent films)
I saw the Devil (Delve into the depths of a serial killer)
Ip Man (Do you like kung fu? No? Well you'll like this anyways)
Amelie (amazing romance story)
Let the Right One In (very good coming to age story with vampires)
Thirst (really well done vampire movie about what it means to be a vampire)
Castaway on the Moon (Awesome and weird romance)

I binged through The League last month, it was loving hilarious. I still have no idea how fantasy football works, it makes even less sense to me than regular football which I know nothing about.

Really though, the fantasy football is like the bar in say Cheers, or It's Always Sunny. It's just a reason for the main characters to come together and be absolutely horrible to each other. You don't need to know how a bar works, or even have been in one, it's just the thing to get poo poo rolling.

Like Spoeank said, they never stop. But they become more and more self aware, and have no problems with just going all out with making fun of themselves or just coming up with more and more ridiculous poo poo.

It's not a 'good' show, it isn't 'well written'. But by jove, it's a silly and fun show and I can't help but love it.

Edit: The first season is kind of terrible though.

I love this episode. When they're reading lines and Sam is in the back and has no idea what to do with himself it had me laughing my rear end off.

The show wouldn't work nearly as well as it does if it wasn't so very self aware.

V/H/S 2 was really loving bad. I liked the first one a lot, and love found footage films usually because I'm a sucker for gimmicks, but there is maybe one segment in the sequel that is not just really boring and uninspired, and that one's only decent in comparison to the other segments.

On the other hand I was bored out of my mind with V/H/S one, with only one segment mildly interesting, while I enjoyed the second one way more.

I know it's been mentioned, but I just finished watching Bojack Horseman and it's fantastic. It is HARD to get into. I only barely stuck with it. The first six episodes are watchable but not much more than that, but it really picks up from there when you/the show itself realizes that it's really a talking animal cartoon about deep depression.

I loved Bojack. Individually the episodes aren't the greatest, but it really is the sum of its parts. Will Arnett is perfect for the role, and Aaron Paul does a surprisingly good job at voice acting. It was a very enjoyable show.

Drew: The Man Behind the Poster is a great look at the life and work of Drew Struzan, a man who has created more movie posters and album covers than you'd probably expect. The whole movie is almost too understated, too modest for the sheer vastness of this artist's talent. He's just incredible and nothing I say will do it justice.

I'm ravenous for documentaries that detail behind the scenes of the art and movie world. Can anyone recommend more of them from any country? I've seen quite a few but if anything has struck you as being particularly interesting, I'd love to know.

Nightmare Factory is a pretty cool doc about the practical fx industry. Squibs, puppets, mainly horror stuff from like the 80s and what not.

Be warned, there is a bit of bitching about 'kids these days.'
