Is the original Ghost in The Shell avaiable in blu-ray, and how does it look? There is a redux version, but sounds similar to what Lucas did with the original trilogy.

Randy Rand posted:I watched it a week ago and I don't recall any of this? Do you mean where they figure out Dallas is an android and he tries suffocating Ripley? That scene was terrifying and I think the effects work was fine? Right about when she starts the self-destruct sequence, Ripley stops along the way to find out that her old crew is all stickied to the walls, revealing some eating habits of the creature, and then she torches them all. To me, it ruins the urgency of the moment, just to show some neat little detail of the creature.

I can't trash slipcovers, not matter how much I hate them, since I keep all sort of junk. Anyway, about the Battle Royale BR, I noticed some weird effect on some scenes, I dont know what to call it but like in the scene the couple throws themselves over a cliff, there seemed to be a kind of silhouette dragging, is it intended?

Being in Italy for a few months more, I was thinking of buying one of their bluray editions of Leone's westerns. Here's my two options: A completely new restored version of A Fistfull of Dollars http://www.amazon.it/Pugno-Dollari-Versione-Restaurata-CE/dp/B0041KW6E8/ref=sr_1_2?s=dvd&ie=UTF8&qid=1321297838&sr=1-2 A triple pack containing Mondo's version of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly http://www.amazon.it/Sergio-Leone-Collection-Ltd-Blu-Ray/dp/B0047H977E/ref=sr_1_1?s=dvd&ie=UTF8&qid=1321297591&sr=1-1 The triple pack for some reason has My Name is Nobody also.

EL BROMANCE posted:PAL generally denotes to 720x576 rather than 720x480 for SD digital with a framerate of 25fps. On HD it's not a problem for the resolution - the world standardised on 720 and 1080, but sadly insisted on 25fps/50hz being part of the standard, probably for backwards compatibility.
