I know Capn Beeb already posted a list, but as I went through the game I made note of all the cheat locations, if anyone wants to check them out in person. Some of the unknowns will probably be Social Club Challenge unlocks only, but there might be a few more hidden in the game world. The unknowns were discovered via save file edits, so they're just placeholders for now until we figure out how to activate them.

These aren't case sensitive but you may want to use a chatpad or dig up an old USB keyboard to make enterting them easier.

Well gently caress, just had my first crash in 25 hours of playing this game, right after the Mexico mission where you're betrayed by the army and Reyes saves you. And I mean right after, the cutscene ended with Marston walking away and voila - black screen and nothing.

Mine did the exact same thing in the same spot the first time. After rebooting and doing the mission over it worked fine.

Also I feel like I saw something written or carved somewhere that might be the beastmaster cheat (it wasn't the one for the horse spawn, I already got that one). I'll go look for it later but it might be nothing.

In the church in Tumbleweed, the phrase 'the devil has got into that beast' is carved in to the pulpit. It could be just a foreboding message but the fact that we know there's a cheat called 'Beastmaster' makes me thing it's a cheat code -- however, it says it's not valid when you enter it. Rockstar messed up on a couple of the codes with punctuation errors though, so it might still be possible.

I thought they were all pretty straightforward with the exception of the second one. The general location was easy enough but drat if I didn't slide down the hill past it about six times wondering where the hell it was exactly.

You have to get a bounty, lose your wanted level (but keeping your bounty) and then have the US Marshals pick up your trail and then lose them.

Also, using a horse deed instantly saves your game. No need to run out of town and set up a camp.

I think your bounty has to be 2k-2.5k in order for the marshals/mexican army to go after you.

I don't think the bounty amount matters any. Mine was only $600 or so from shooting up the saloon in Armadillo; I just rode out of town towards MacFarlane's Ranch and came back then the pop-up said the Marshals had found my trail. Evaded them through Jorge's Gap and got the achievement. Not sure if it will work in Mexico since it says Marshals and not Federales. Having a higher bounty may expedite the Marshals picking up your trail, however.

That's a really good point. This might actually be the best cultural commentary in the game. That one Indian dude even gives you the "You realize you're just senselessly killing these Buffalo for fun, right? You're going to ruin everything." speech on the way to a mission.

Then, here we all are, blowing the fuckers away for an Achievement.

Find one of those guys that challenges you to shooting birds. Intentionally lose and he'll offer a double or nothing. Keep losing until you have just enough for one more bet and then win. Then kill and loot him afterward.

The only things it doesn't list for me aside from the last couple of missions are the challenges, stranger missions and two outfits. Hopefully they'll be fixed when the patch/DLC comes out.

It wouldn't be so bad except there's nothing in MP that gives decent XP other than hideouts (which are also low in contrast) so getting to legendary ranks let alone level 50 once is just a loving grindfest. I really hate the 'prestiging' model in every MP game that's used it. I guess it's fitting that it only came about once the ADD generation showed up.

Can't you just clear the cache to revert back to pre-patch and run around offline? Granted you'll have to get the patch to go online again but if your only goal is to hit level 50 it wouldn't take that long.

I couldn't say for sure but I haven't seen anything to indicate as such. If anything it's worth playing through again as the opposite you did the first time (good/bad guy) and you can breeze through most of the missions as they are just introductory/tutorial and skip cutscenes since you already know what's going on.

During a mission for West Dickens you have to follow his coach while on a horse. Mine wasn't around so not thinking, I hopped on the one that spawned there. Even though I never hitched it, it became my default horse somehow after an auto-save so I went back and loaded a manual save to get my Saddler back.

Irrelevant story: on my second playthrough I was going over to Silent Stead to pick up an outfit scrap. As I dismounted my horse I stepped *right on top* of a loving cougar laying down that was camoflaged. Mauled us both in about two seconds.

For an easy gold medal (you need one on a combat mission for the achievement), replay the mission you do with the marshal where you follow the gang dude from the Armadillo saloon to the Pleasance House. I think it's the first combat mission in the game. Skip all the cutscenes and run ahead of the Marshal to your horse, ride as fast as you can, then try to get as many headshots as you can. There's only 5 or 6 guys total.
