Something looks odd, not sure if it's the angle or lighting or what. What size are those wheels?

18x10s. I think it's the angle and the fact the back is higher than the front in 5.0s. The springs I got should lower the front 1" and the back 1.5" to even it out.

are you guys watching alcatraz right now?!

Edit: well that could have been longer but it was fun, they Basically tried to recreate the chase scene from Bullitt in San Francisco with the previous model Dodge Charger and a purple 2013 Mustang. They even threw in stuff like the VW Beetle getting in the way. I'm sure someone will throw it on youtube or something tomorrow.

For people that want to watch it:

Wow. Managed to sell my used brembo wheels for $700. Time to spend that all on a CAI and tune!

I went to a dealership to get a quote on a base 2012 V6 Manual today. (I kinda prefer the 2012 design to the 2013 man).

The dealer would absolutely not move from the MSRP. Is this to be expected since they are running out of 2012s or is the dealer (naturally) trying to screw me over?

Trying to screw you over. I've heard of some pretty crazy deals out there on the '12s.

After installing my new rims, I'm getting some squeaking from the front passenger tire under mild/moderate braking only. Any thoughts what it could be?

Goddamn it. I've been shopping around for Noble M400s but now I sort of want a new GT500.

I only have 2nd hand knowledge from that shop I visited with 3 Nobles, but if you want to drive the car frequently, a Noble isn't gonna cut it.

Why? I've been having a hard time finding people who have actually put any real miles on the cars to talk to.

I drove it to Nija's house as he has air tools there. I have a garage. Thanks for inquiring though!

Switching gears faster is important for numbers, but I won't be driving one of these cars with an automatic until they have the feel right.

Having driven recent Corvettes and the CTSV's with the automatics back to back with the manuals really puts things in perspective. The manuals are just simply much, much, much more fun to drive. Nothing puts a grin on my face like a well done rev match with an obscenely loud exhaust on a manual/V8 powered car.

Try a Porsche with the PDK system. It's amazingly fun.

XC post from SVTP:

After a few weeks of bumbling around I finally got the time to take my car to AED in Sacramento to undergo my Paxton tuning session.

Not to be without drama, I've had quite a few things go wrong along this build, included but not limited to:

spraying r134a everywhere into Revalation's garage while busting the a/c suction line
barfing coolant out during the install and at AED
blowing off multiple intercooler pipes on hot and cold side the day before tuning
failed attempt at getting the accufab throttle body between the charge pipe and intake

A week after the install JoeWagon helped me get my BAP going and everything was ready for tune.

After all this it did run, and magically made it to AED without drama. I filled up at my local Costco previous to leaving at 6am, same gas I've used consistently for months and what I was running for my previous NA tune.

NA Mod list:

Airraid Boss PJ intake
Accufab throttle body
Boss IM
Kooks Shorty Headers
Lethal catless H
JPC OTA
GT500 AB

After another few thousand miles for some reason I got tired of an all motor powerhouse and hit up the both big vendors for a Paxton kit and additional parts. During this time I also managed to fix up my suspension and eyeball it enough to keep the rear end in line. Last month I proceeded to install it over the course of 5 half days worth of work, about 15-20hrs of labor. Don't fear the dremel!

Paxton 3.8 stock kit
ID1000
Roush BAP
JPC Tbolts, Expansion tank
Roush vent pod/Aeroforce gauge installed to check coolant, iat, etc.

I made it to AED around 9am and Shaun had the car strapped down within a few minutes.

First run, we made a staggering 692hp. Something had to be wrong?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cijY68B2oM

2nd run the car decided to barf out a gallon of coolant from the metal fitting inserted into the lower radiator tube. This tube is held together with worm clamps. Shaun was kind enough to patch me back together and the session went on as planned.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8Nwey_cwNQ

Like a moron I forgot to record any of the full throttle pulls, but the numbers in the end surprised both Shaun and I.

700.2hp/524ftlbs! Crazy numbers, why even go e85 when you have Kirkland's finest gas in your tank!

My love went out to Shaun@AED and Greg@AED. Awesome guys, professional shop, best shop dogs.

Hey. HEY. That's my car.

The good thing about the shelby's is, you're basically going to be able to buy a new one for MSRP give or take whenever you choose to buy one because old dudes buy them, store them, and die.
