Proud to this day of avoiding that with seeing a clip preview trailer on iPlayer and shutting it down barely 20 seconds in.

No regrets.

I'd love to hear their commentary over that program.

The passage of time and other things can change things for you without knowing if you don't think about it much.

For some reason I thought her character took the fall for Dad and got a suspended sentence. Going back to something is always interesting.

I don't think that even my mum - who religiously watches literally every crime drama on broadcast TV including repeats of Miss Marple she's seen 100 times - is interested in "Death in Paradise but we've replaced the show's USP with Devon".

has there ever been such a pointless spin-off?

I was unaware Devon claimed Looe overnight.

I didn't look into it too much but Wikipedia says he's basically one of the only people on earth whos against libraries

In 2013, Deary spoke out against public libraries, saying that they "have been around too long", are "no longer relevant" and have "had their day," and derided the Public Lending Right remuneration to authors for library loans. He argued: "we've got this idea that we've got an entitlement to read books for free, at the expense of authors, publishers and council tax payers... We don't expect to go to a food library to be fed. The car industry would collapse if we went to car libraries for free use of Porsches... If I sold the book I'd get 30p per book. I get six grand, [when] I should be getting £180,000."

What a prick, shocking.

Saxondale is another suggestion for me for a lesser known Steve Coogan vehicle too.

The Day Today which still is fantastic, All but a few episodes the IT Crowd, Father Ted and Black Books are another bunch of suggestions from me also.

Also, both Look Around You and the Armando Iannucci Shows are solid choices though the former is a pisstake on the very dry educational films/videos we saw in school as kids so not sure how well that would work for anyone in the US.

It reminds me of the episode of blackadder goes forth where they paint no mans land

It's super amusing to me as scouting and sketching the landscape is a much older way to do it and of course the general is barmy enough to think that is done instead of asking the RFC for a quick few photos.
