Diseased Yak posted:Yes, this track is loving amazing. I tell ya though, if you haven't listened to it already, get YOB's The Great Cessation and listen to the 5th and final track (also called "The Great Cessation") on the album. It's like all of YOB's previous efforts culminating in one monster 20+ minute track of unrelenting badassery. I shudder to think what it would sound like live. My pants would probably stand-up on their own afterwards...

Also, I would say some parts of Middian's Age Eternal (especially the last song or two) are right about on that level. They're a lot different from what YOB goes for, but still pretty great.

I saw Yob in a tiny venue here in Atlanta this summer, it'd be interesting to see them in a big arena. I want to see how the more casual fans react to Yob's mega-doom. They're going to be at my college so hopefully they have some sort of discount in place for current students. If not, though...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFrr4uXDihM So there's a new supergroup called Corrections House featuring Scott Kelly, Sanford Parker, Bruce Lamont, and Mike from Eyehategod. They just released their first single. It sounds more like the experimental stuff Lamont's been doing with Yakuza and his own solo work. Of course, I don't have a problem with this.
