Either that, or the owner has done a poo poo job of maintaining proper discipline and a proper relationship with the dog. Guide dogs are not pets, and that was one of the saddest parts of watching my friends raise those dogs. True that. I had a roommate who had a seeing-eye dog, who led a very lonely life.

It also sounds like your forwarder is putting you on an interline routing as well, meaning two or more physical air carriers are involved in moving your box, That many variables is a set up for loss or damage to the goods. I just checked the website, the tracking number is no longer valid unfortunately. It was DHL. I assume that going to Lubumbashi confused the poo poo out of someone, and that they responded by flailing at their keyboard until they had a route plugged in that would get it to where I wanted it to go, no matter how long.

I once saw a guy walking two of them and he let me play with and cuddle them because they were on 'annual leave' for the weekend. "The Harness" is the operative phrase here. Working dogs are trained in such a way that they're 100% business when they're in the walking harness. If they're in a plain collar, something is wrong with the situation and they may not be a legit working dog. I remember being a kid and asking the K-9 cop that came to our school if I could pet his dog. His answer was "No, he's on duty." A few months later I met the same dude and same dog at a picnic my family attended, and he was happy to let all the kids play with his super-playful german shephard. For cop dogs, at least (the only kind I know details about), the harness brings an entirely different mindset with it. Dog in work harness = Everything is a Threat. Dog in plain collar = I'm a dog! PLAY WITH ME! If the blind person spent a few years leaving the harness on all the time and interacting with her dog like normal, it'd probably be confused as hell and act as described.

This isn't as bizarre as some things posted, but this morning I answered the door to some Jehovah Witnesses who wanted to give me a pamphlet on "why bad things happen to good people" (the actual title). : You may have wondered why bad things happen to good people, like those people in that plane crash which was terrible, very tragic. This pamphlet helps explain why things like that plane crash happened with extracts from the bible etc Just felt like one of those "too soon" moments.

Anything is ammunition. There is no such thing as "too soon", especially considering tragedy tends to make people consider their own eventual fate. Obv a person with motivation beyond 'God says X therefore Y and Z and you'll go to heaven" isn't going to respond well to that, and will realize it's a lovely thing to try and strong-arm grieving people with, but if you look at it from their perspective it makes sense.

I just got done talking to three bible-pushers myself. I'm an atheist, but telling them that always seems to make them stay longer, so this time when he asked if I read the bible, I said "Yeah, I was raised Catholic." WRONG ANSWER, SON! Cue five minute diatribe about how I'm reading the wrong bible, and I should be reading [whatever his version was] instead of King James. It's a different book, you see, these are the REAL words of God. I really need to stop answering the door altogether.
