Fun Fact: According to the Dawnguard DLC that's coming out, Saint Jiub was in Kvatch around this time. Any chance of a cameo?

Cats have babby teeth, but more importantly, khajiit can and do grow glorious manes the likes of which even beard-obsessed nords are jealous of.

Well, Homestuck had it so that when an animation was done, a little button appeared that let you go back to the beginning. Not a bad way to let people know there's no more to see.

TES uses the pretext of "vampire clans" to explain away having completely different game mechanics for vampirism in each game.

The Cyrodilic vampires in Oblivion look perfectly human when well-fed, and absolutely monstrous when starving. There's a trade-off: the worse you're starved, the most potent your vampire abilities are. So you can have a reason to deliberately go undernourished so as to become more powerful. But at the same time, it warps your appearance more, so you're easily detected, and your vampire weaknesses get stronger too.

It's obvious Nah prefer to go the "absolutely normal-looking human" route, even if it means she won't get übermunchkin minmaxed bonuses to her stats. But she had a bit of a problem getting to feed enough while maintaining her cover. When we met her, she was already at a stage where daylight begins to hurt.

Don't forget that just last night in prequel time Nah fed enough to get back to stage 0 hunger. Nah should be walking about in the daylight right now, even if she didn't feed on Katia again.

There is some rather overt racism against Khajiit in Skyrim. Khajiit cannot enter any of the walled cities in the game, with the exception of J'zargo because he's a member of the College of Winterhold, and the player if you happen to choose a khajiit. There's no really good reason for the player to be let in any of the cities except for the fact that it'd make the game unplayable, or at least until you joined the College.

If this is "torture porn" then the definition of such is so broad as to be useless. You're basically saying that anything where the protagonist is unhappy or doesn't have things go his or her way is "torture porn" which is you know, like all drama and most comedy. You might as well say King Lear is torture porn. Or The Three Stooges.

It certainly casts Charlie Chaplin's 'Little Tramp' in a whole new light.

Yeah there was a point where things went bad for Katia and she responded by getting shitfaced drunk AGAIN where I had to ragequit the entire comic for awhile, but when I came back to it that turned out to be her lowest point and since then she's very, very slowly started getting a better grip on her life. And without spoiling things later there's this point where it's obvious she's turned a corner and it's such a relief knowing that no matter how bad things get, they'll never get that bad again.

Or maybe I'm just letting myself get too involved with some crappy fanfic about the lamest Elder Scrolls game, but even moreso than the crippling self loathing Katia deals with it's the drinking that got to me. I guess it just hits close to home because I've had a cousin who's had issues with alcoholism as long as I can remember and she's put the entire family through an unbelievable amount of poo poo over the years, to the point I have zero sympathy for her anymore even if it really is 'not her fault' and 'she can't help herself' and blah blah blah. For all the flak Kaz gets for the situations he's put Katia in, realistically having drunken sex with some random guy and kind of regretting the morning after is one of the least bad results that can come from getting black out drunk on a regular basis.

Weirdly enough I just read that part earlier today, and it's still amazing. My favorite sequence in the comic by far and I only hope we get more like it when Sigrid's dealt with and we get back on track of that part of the plot.

To be fair, she's probably been cursed by Sanguine at some point. No one gets blackout drunk from just tasting alcohol.

edit: Actually, now that I think about Sanguine, she's probably been blessed by him. Whichever.
