If I can add a suggestion, I think having the clips be less focused on the super popular games and more on the lesser known ones (like having the level up part of secret of evermore for example) would get people to see those clips and think "wow that looks cool, who runs that?" and get them interested in some games they never would have seen otherwise. I know there's a lot of games that no one ever checks out with interesting glitches (like Glover for example  ), and while having obvious stuff like BLJs and DoT skip are cool looking, I don't think there should be too many clips from popular games (how long is this intro going to be anyway?), at least not a majority.

If you're wondering what im doing when i go up and down on the ball really fast it's just mashing L on the n64 controller while holding a direction. Using the D-pad on water is faster than using the analog stick. C-upping when hitting a switch skips the cutscene the switch activates. There's some other level specific tricks but we're trying to make a glover rta wiki (haha) so if you want to know about any of the tricks just ask.

http://www.twitch.tv/crankeey got the new Glover WR today, 38:36. This game is becoming ridiculously optimized. New strats (That I found  ) include the bounce at the start of prehistoric 2 and the bounce at the start of space 3. He should have a highlight / youtube video of the run up sometime tomorrow.

I loving finally got the Glover WR. 38:33, 3 seconds faster than the previous wr. Whatever, I'm done with RTAing this game, there's so much stupid poo poo in it that it's just boring when you aren't getting good times. http://www.twitch.tv/heeheex2/c/2337274 here's a highlight of it. I died a lot in Fear, so I think a 36/35 is the fastest possible time. Those first 3 splits are loving gorgeous though, and are the main reason why I don't want to do any more attempts.

I got the Glover WR again, and am completely done forever probably. I lost about 1:20 on the last split, and about 1:40 everywhere else (notable pirates where i lost like 50 seconds) but I dont care, I just want to be done with this game. http://www.twitch.tv/heeheex2/c/2351508 Here's the highlight.

Technically the dpad is faster everywhere (or at least we're pretty sure; on feet it definitely is and when standing on the ball) but only having 8 directions makes it so using just the dpad is a lot slower. There's only really two levels where you're on water for long enough to use it luckily, but it's still a dumb mechanic.

Yea, why not just have Cosmo run games for the entire marathon! I'm sure that would be the smartest thing to do and not have the marathon not be a popularity contest! Werster had a good idea, of WW being a donation incentive ($1 000 000) at the very end. A 5 hour game with barely any changes should be what's looked at, not the runner.
