Must have been back in early high school years that I had this thing on repeat forever. Still amazing. haha yeah man, that album reminds me of late high school circa 2001 or so. I'd wanted the album so bad after hearing the then-current Thy Black Destiny on the radio, and wandered into a 2nd hand store hoping they had the albums there. Bam, all three sitting there, along with a Zemial album I'd been wanting for ages too. That was a cool year.

They were one of my favorite bands for a long time, particularly with their albums "Organasm" and "Austriel Alien". They are broken up now, but they still rule and should not be forgotten. Current and former members of both Alchemist and Alarum are in this band, The Levitation Hex. Sounds like a combination of both of them http://soundcloud.com/levitationhex So good. The s/t has recently come out and it's a real grower, but has some immediate standouts.

MrBling posted:Any of you guys into the whole "rare, collectible" side of the business happen to know if the original Osmose digipak version of Necromantia's Scarlet Evil Witching Black is particularly rare? Reason I ask is that I came across an ebay auction asking $250 for it which seemed pretty excessive. Only around 1000 copies were made of that version. Hell, if it were a choice of buying that digi or the atrocious new artwork, which would you pick? It's time to listen to Scarlet Witching Dreams as loud as possible!

MrBling posted:Yeah, but $250? I'm pretty sure i traded a couple of crappy cds for the one i have and i even got the original pressing ancient pride mcd as well. Before a lot of reissues for the more 'cult' bands, people would pay ridiculous amounts for some albums. I'd try and sell a few Trouble and dISEMBOWELMENT releases I had duplicates of, to try and get my money back ($10), and they'd go for over $50 sometimes. Some cases where you'd see cds reach obscene figures, but you'd usually equate vinyl as the more valuable format though where people paid upwards of the hundreds. Ancient Pride digi isn't that rare though is it?

Tony ripped me and quite a few others off when it came to buying that EP. I never got a chance to own it til recently.

King Fowley recognized us both times after the first- at the last one my bro was blessed with a nickname by King Fowley, he shall forever be known as Dr. Thrash now. I was pulled up on stage during the last song of Deceased's set, too. By all means I shouldn't really like them, and their use of harmony is quite boring but for some reason they're awesome. Are there any bands that are kinda like the Road? I don't like Cirith Ungol since they always get recommend to fans of the Road. I was going to suggest listening to Ironsword, but listening to it after 9 years, it's not holding up so well...
