Also try dragonland, Neal Morse, Judas Priest,Andromeda, Arwen, Hammerfall, At Vance(though you can find better stuff on youtube but I'm lazy), Ayreon, Dezperadoz (hehe), Freedom Call.

Some of these might bit a bit on the heavy side, can't really remember.

When was their last good one?

The System Has Failed was pretty good! Just don't listen to the lyrics. Or do and laugh, whatever.

Thanks for the recs, guys. Power metal is definitely a once-in-a-while thing, but when I'm in the mood it works like a charm.

I've really enjoyed Edguy, Kiuas, Wuthering Heights and Gamma Ray. Blind Guardian is good but I prefer Battalions of Fear to Nightfall for some reason. It's more aggressive and catchy, I find.

Check out Hammerfall. Also Dragonland's Astronomy is excellent, even though it's not in the same style as the ones you mentioned it still deserves to be checked out.

God drat, the new Audrey Horne album is so, so GOOD. Just loving brilliant melodic hard rock from start to finish. Every single goddamn song is great in one way or another.

Ya it's really good! Very catchy and riffy without being repetitive.

Those are all good choices. I think that Jolly is in the same vein, although it's pretty much progressive rock. Still good though.

edit: a lot of those artists are on Inside Out Music. I'm going to check all of those out!

You should still listen to From Mars to Sirius and The Way of All Flesh because they're pretty enjoyable from start to finish.
