Why is everyone going nuts over this book? Should I pick it up knowing nothing about the story?

Just made a purchase of...
Secret Warriors Omnibus by Brian Michael Bendis
Punisher by Rick Remender Omnibus

With that Amazon was helpful enough to give me a few suggestions and these books peaked my interest a bit. I'm wondering if they're any good.

Dark Tower Omnibus by Stephen King
Ultimate Comics Avengers by Mark Millar Omnibus
X-Men by Chris Claremont and Jim Lee Omnibus - Volume 1
The Invisibles Omnibus

I've never read any of the Batman "No Man's Land" arcs. There seems to be a new set coming out which spreads out over three TPBs. It this set worth picking up? It's 500 pages each at only $20, which is a steal. This is the one I'm referring to. http://www.amazon.com/Batman-No-Mans-Land-Vol/dp/1401232280/ref=pd_bxgy_b_img_c

I bought it a few days ago. I haven't read it yet and probably won't until I finish the JLI TPB's I bought at the same time.

If there is anything specific you'd like to know without having to read the whole thing I'll answer what I can.

Nothing in particular. Just wondering if it was a good read since I always see the book in this used book store I frequent a lot. Also wondering if *that* particular book needed any supplementary material.

They've BEEN re-printed haven't they? Omnibus to the three book "Ultimate Collections" trade, and they're coming out with the same omnibus soon.

I ended up cancelling my volumes of No Man's Land, because I guess they are re-doing them and re-releasing them in April, so I decided to just wait and pick up the whole series at once.

Are you talking about this Here? Because the other volumes aren't out until April.

Nothing, it's just OOP. Hit up used book stores before you buy them on Amazon.

The time has come. My bookshelf is finally full. I'm currently using these cheap bookshelves that I found on the street and I think it's time that I upgraded. My main concern is that I have a bunch of OSHC and omnibuses. The current shelves I'm using now, I don't feel too comfortable placing it anywhere aside from the bottom shelf. Is this Ikea shelf the one everyone gets?

Darn. It's going to be released individually. I was hoping they would rework the panels so it would become an awesome omnibus.

Glad that the first thing I thought (If they're coloring it, it better be larger now too) was the very first thing I saw in that CBR link. Yeah, I'll double dip, why not. The colors look nice.

Rework the panels? I'm rather confused how that would affect its ability to be an omnibus...

I'm looking at the books right now, if they made an omnibus out of the six books, it would be thicker than two "standard" Marvel omnibuses. I was thinking it would be nicer to rework the panels so they fit into the standard Marvel omnibus mold, but that'll never happen.

I really enjoy those types of colors on the old Flex Mentallo. It reminds me of Hard Boiled and even New X-Men to a certain degree.

There has already been a Criminal Deluxe edition out. I'm assuming the second one is the continuation of that deluxe edition? I was in love with the first book and would be very excited to have the second one.

For the newer release of Batman:Nightfall, did they happened to re-do the pages onto some better paper? I have an older copy and it feels like its only old newspaper, the colors are all off and its just a pain to read. Is this new edition like a "normal" comic?

This may have been covered but I did a search on the thread and I couldn't find anything. How sturdy is the X-Statix Omni? I sometimes worry about how well the really big Omnibi hold up to actual reading vs. just sitting on shelves.

I hear that the binding (glue) really sucks, and over time the cover will fall off of the book. I've personally been reading the book in my bed for the past year or so, and it seems perfectly fine.

I finally got a "real" bookshelf and can finally post my own bookshelf porn. These books make up about 90% of my OSHC and omnibuses. I have two other shelves about the same size for my SC and manga. Just finished volume 8 of Invincible and I'm wondering if anyone knew if Kirkman was planning to end Invincible anytime soon, or was he going to "make it last as long as possible" like Walking Dead.

Also, is the Wolverine Adamantium Collection worth the $100 asking price? I'm not into "older" Wolverine stuff (90s or older, can't stand the art) but it seems the collection is *just* older stuff?

What do you guys think of the Sandman omnibuses? There are two volumes, and I've never read any Sandman aside from the first trade paperback. Do you guys think I should pick it up? It seems like a deal because it's only $90 per volume, and they're just smaller versions of the absolutes.
