Berlusconi is the goose that lays the golden eggs, except that in this version of the story the eggs contain 17 year old Italian prostitutes who he then attempts to gently caress.

I don't think Andy would enjoy the pun runs half so much if it weren't for how much John and Chris clearly hate them. For their part, John and Chris amplify this hatred to give Andy the reaction he's going for. It's actually quite a nice moment between friends.

Poopy Palpy posted:Half the fun of puns is hating them. Andy Zaltzman is a living embodiment of the idea that a successful joke can divide a crowd but a genuinely bad pun will unite them like nothing else.

I tried Peacock and Gamble a few years ago, and it mainly seemed to be two men bullying a third man for having "ruined Eastenders" and calling him a paedophile. Has it got better?

Andy also reused some stuff for 7 Day Sunday. I can't fault either of them for reusing stuff: when your schtick is topical comedy and you're on multiple deadlines, I can't expect you to find a separate punchline about the jubilee for each of your gigs.

Speaking of John and Andy on radio 4, if you can ever find a legit way of listening to The Department, it's basically loving brilliant. John, Andy, Chris Addison (from The Thick Of It) and Matt Holness (from Garth Marengi's Darkplace) as employees of a vast and confusing government department that secretly runs everything. Brilliant, and very bugle-esque albeit scripted.

The only possible explanation I have for this is that Putin or someone on Putin's staff is a huge fan of the Bugle and is trying to give them dynamite material.
