Having listened to this podcast for the longest time, I think for the first time ever, I turned it off in disgust. It may have been because I was cranky, but after 15 minutes of listening to Eddie Bravo yesterday I had just had enough. He's such an idiot, and when someone (Either Joe or Redban) makes a counterpoint or ask him to explain he just backpedals or says there are exceptions. Also his music is loving terrible and he's position names in BJJ suck and Rogan's use of them during UFC broadcasts pisses me off. Please Joe, keep Eddie off the podcast. Also guys, if you want to see some of the very best of Diaz, watch him and Rogan on Alex Jones' radio show, especially towards the end when they go into "Super Overdrive Mode". Full(Four parts) or Highlights.

I like the MMA talk too, just not what Eddie has to say about it. Joe's crazy ravings about certain fighters being savages is always fun, but his analyses are often not that great, and I feel like a lot of the time he really can't be truthful because of his association with the UFC.

Sometimes I want to send Joe the forms to enroll in some introduction to X classes at his closest UC. He asks all these questions and wonders about all this poo poo that you could actually learn quite a bit about from just taking intro to Econ or Anthropology 101. It's not super irritating because he's not acting like he knows more than he does, but I just sit there thinking poo poo Joe, XX isn't that complicated

I got really mad at the mini episode with Duncan Trussell, when Joe was ranting about an ad that said that by buying drugs, you're funding terrorism. And he couldn't understand how in the world could drugs fund terrorism. He also rants about the situation in Mexico every two episodes but doesn't seem to be able to make the connection.

I'm halfway through the Eddie Bravo episode now and it's pretty spectacular. Redban really talking up the new iPhone, Eddie predicting that he'll be smoking weed with his son... One of the worst. Not has bad as that Michael Schiavello episode, that guy is a complete fuckwit.

Redban is incredibly hosed up in the latest Bert episode. I think by saying he freebased oxy to try it, he is really saying he is now doing oxy for real. He sounds so hosed up in this episode, slurring words, not making any god drat sense. He is more hosed up than ever.

There were a couple spots where he slurs pretty bad, but other than that he was talking normal and brought the 90% annoying 10% funny off-hand comment that he usually brings. I don't think it was being hosed up that annoyed Joe, he just finally had it with Redban's interrupting the conversation to bring up something he clearly had been wanting to talk about all podcast, in this case it was his completely asinine "Franchise restaurant vs Mom/Pop restaurant" thing. I loved how blunt Joe was. "You know people listen to this, right? You really thought that story was good? You thought it was good enough to completely side-track the podcast for that?" and Redban almost seemed like he was actually apologizing (something he's never done), but of course 20 seconds later he followed it up with a snotty "Sorry for talking, I guess."

I liked Redban's self-pitying "this year has sucked! it's been so crazy!". The opportunities the dude has in front of him are ridiculous and he can't stop with the self pity or get his nose out of a porn star's butthole for long enough to actually make the most of them.

What kind of opportunities? Redban, objectively, isn't funny. If he can't be funny on a podcast, how can he succeed at stand up where there's a couple hundred people expecting him to be funny? I hate him. He slows down the pace of the show, frequently gets news items wrong, and has the analytical skills of a of a 2 year old. Then when some minor thing somehow insults him, he gets moody and sulks for the rest of the show. The show would be 100x better if Joe just gave him the boot.

So I heard the episode and he totally wasn't as hosed up as I was expecting after reading this thread. He was definitely on something, but didn't sound much dumber than normal and Joe didn't seem as pissed as I was hoping he'd be. Did you guys watching Ustream see something that I didn't? I just listen to the podcast while I'm doing other stuff.

Redban never bothered me until early this year with Bill Burr, where he keeps repeating the same inane argument about RSS feeds and annoying the piss out of poor Billy. Neither side was completely right or wrong, but to drag out an argument over nothing just completely grated my ears.

There probably wouldn't be a podcast if Rogan got rid of redban. He would have to find someone else nearby who can do a show at a moment's notice, multiple times a week, and have the gear and knowledge to make it happen. Not easy to replace. I think whe redban tries to change the subject, it's because he does 5 other less-interesting shows that stagnate frequently, and his sense is kicking too early. He doesn't seem very bright, but he doesn't talk much anyway so I don't care. One of the things that I like about this podcast is the imperfection anyway. I tried listening to Marc Maron and Jay Mohr's podcasts and don't like them; I think the professionalism turns me off, they seem a little more forced and edited. Like a boring radio show.

I know very little about engineering but it seems like a simple enough set up that if Rogan really wanted to he could just have redban show him how everything works in 20 minutes. Obviously if your'e Joe it's nice to have a good friend do it all and not have to worry about it, but I'd think they would survive without him/a replacement.

He managed to at least record the Graham Hancock show without him. Redban still probably edited and uploaded the audio to itunes, but living as close to LA as Rogan does and being in the industry he's in I really doubt he would have any trouble at all finding a replacement. e: seriously, what does Redban even do other than save Rogan a bit of money from having to pay someone else a pittance to do what he does?
