The wiki says you can use the info you can get from silus treatment to make Hanlon stand down, I got a dialogue about Caesar's headaches but I can't tell Hanlon anything? Don't want to go all the way to the cove and kill Ceasar yet.

Didn't Viva New Vegas used to have mods with bigger additions/changes like Autumn Leaves and Bleed? Or am I thinking of a different mod compilation?

The bigger thing is you have to kill Doc Mitchell if you side with Cobb and there goes your only source of healing broken limbs in the early going

You'd think the equivalent doctor hanging around the Powder Gangers could do it but nope

I don't think I've ever reported back to Doc Mitchell for anything but certain quests. You can heal broken limbs by jamming a stim into them, not that there's a shortage of doctor bags / hydra lying around the floor everywhere on top of it.

The real benefit of logan's loophole is it stops the terrible absurdian level scaling for enemies. I did the wacky science and lonesome road dlcs once at whatever the max levels were at the time. Never again.

The "NCR has bandits and Legion territory is serene" thing never made sense to me because the NCR is somehow both rich and safe enough for tons of people to travel to New Vegas just to lose their money gambling. House's entire economy and plan is based on this. Of course the immediate area around New Vegas isn't great... but that's an active war zone.

I always think it's weird that House started his poo poo like 7 years before New Vegas proper. It feels like it should have been longer for him to mold the raider tribes into the three families.

The white gloves are one dinner away from reverting to cannibalism and/or joining the Legion, the Gomora guys are planning 9/11, and House’s own protege at the tops has already betrayed him. It’s House’s arrogance and persistent inability to judge humans that he thinks he’s molded them into anything.

I just find parts of her character to be stupid. Lady, I passed like a 100 dresses on the floor and in various containers on the way here. What kind of scavenger are you?

On the other hand her stuff with Elijah and Christine is really compelling. It probably wasn't the case but it's like two different people wrote her.

I'm constantly being told that the NCR is lovely and you can barely travel in NCR territory cause there are still bandits/raiders. Meanwhile, in game and in story, NCR citizens are so rich and capable of travel that they're's singlehandedly funding House's New Vegas by travelling hundreds of miles there and losing all their money in casinos. Uh okay.

They never changed it. Some mods (maybe even ropekid?) remove it and add back karma damage for stealing, so between no free karma for farming convicts and stealing everything in sight my character was labeled history's greatest monster despite resolving every quest heroically.

Fundamental physics in the Fallout universe work completely differently than in real life, that's why you can treat radiation poisoning with a IV bag of medicine and ghoulification is a thing. As an aside since they're consumed on use I've always assumed the player is just drinking the anti rad juice directly out of the IV bag and the IV bag is just some kind of marketing ploy.

I think the start of Fallout 2 has to be one of the all time worst, if not the all time worst, for an otherwise great crpg. Cause once you're out of Arroyo, you're going to kill 9001 rats in Klamath in the slowest turn based systems ever. I actually don't know how I pushed past it, except that grinding rats in terrible combat systems was a staple of crpgs then and I just didn't know better to question it.

Apparently the NCR was nuked by some character in the show. So they didn't even go with "after New Vegas they were overstretched and riddled with corruption," some OC NPC just decided to wipe them out.

Edit: apparently the nuking happened before New Vegas, so New Vegas isn't even canon anymore lol

Avellone was accused of getting a woman drunk to assault her. He sued for libel, and this is what the women who brought the accusations said when they settled: "Mr. Avellone never sexually abused either of us. We have no knowledge that he has ever sexually abused any women." It was a seven figure settlement. I'm sorry, but you don't issue a statement like that and pay out a million dollars+ unless you were going to get destroyed in that libel suit.
