This is a great thread.

I don't mean to derail, but I have been thinking of getting one of those Shark Steam Vacs, and I was curious if anyone has had any firsthand experience with one. I have hardwood (cheap pergo hardwood that is) throughout my house and I am sooo tired of sweeping and THEN mopping. I have 3 boys, a hubby and a dog, and each (except the dog!) comes with nonstop friends coming in and out of the house constantly, dirtying up my floors.

I would primarily like to just use this on the floors, however I have seen that Shark has one that also detaches and can be used as a steam cleaner for grout, shower walls, etc.

Any input appreciated!
