Weezer is playing through the Blue Album with support from the Flaming Lips and Dinosaur Jr. it’s an arena tour but their DC stop is at… a 6k capacity venue (the Anthem)?? I’m definitely going to try to get tix bc that’s just crazy

I have tickets for Emperor X. I've liked the guy since 2011. Watched some recordings of recent sets and ... IDK I'm thinking of getting rid of the tickets if not just eating the cost. For Erica Western Teleport he's using some weird electronic device for the music and it's not even in rhythm or replicating the album version of anything. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3P9u2x7pNwU Like, he's a cool guy and I respect him but drat man. Thanks for posting, I hadn't heard of Emperor X before. That Western Teleport album is really something. I agree though, that's a hosed up thing to do to your most popular song. Found another recent live video of his where he says that he's recently been really into Everything But the Girl, and reworked the song in the style of that band. I don't think he really hit the mark there, but at least I have an entire new-to-me artist to get into.

disclosure being top line there and Jamie xx top line at pitchfork means we're really speed running EDM nostalgia, but this is the part I actually like so I don't mind tbh that last Disclosure album was pretty good all things considered, if they give another shot at the big featured artist extravaganza thing I bet it'd at least produce a few good singles

I think I'm late to these guys, but I just heard some stuff from Dead Poet Society and I like it. Kind of like Royal Blood if they were less British. It's good for people who are glad Nu-metal doesn't dominate the charts anymore but still kind of miss it.
