I was interested in maybe getting one but at least on Amazon they're still $120+, despite Asus having already put out a couple of better tablets. Then again, I guess the original Transformer isn't much older than a year so perhaps it's too early for a price drop. Check eBay. There are plenty of used ones buy-it-now for less than $100.

It's close to Christmas so that could have had something to do with it. Jesus Christ, I've had my TF101 and dock on craigslist for at least a month for $250 and nobody wants it. I bought a refurbished Nexus 7 and I'm having these touchscreen issues. Often when I'm trying to scroll, even in the app drawer, I'll have to swipe a few times to get it to register. I thought it might be my Moko case causing it but it happens naked as well. Is this a common issue among N7s or should I attempt to get it replaced?

The problem happens on stock, and it happens on ParanoidAndroid so either it's specific to 4.2.2 but only for me, or it's a bizarre hardware problem.

Has anybody gone through Asus for repair or replacement for their Nexus 7? What's the process? Pay to have it shipped to them, wait a week or two, then get it back, or is it better than that? These touchscreen issues are driving me crazy, but if it's a huge hassle, I may just suck it up until Google I/O.

If you buy a Nexus 7 from, say, Staples, and after a couple of months you notice a defect, you have to send it to Asus, right? Whereas if you buy it from Google, they'll cross-ship you a new one? I'm trying to decide if the $10 shipping from Google will be worth it if the new nexus has issues like the first one did.

Hangouts is great when it works, but the app does have issues. Sometimes I have to back out of a conversation then click on the conversation again to get a new message to show up. If I try to back out of the app instead of just hitting home, it'll go chat -> list of hangouts -> same chat -> list of hangouts -> exit. Finally, sometimes even when I'm on a solid wifi, a message will hang and not send but I can pick up my tablet and send the same message just fine. Once the bugs get fixed though, Hangouts will be great.
