That's such a piece of crap, but there are enough real lovely posters without going through every fan made turd. Like this: The Rock is a terrible guardian. He's piss-bolting away from that lizard, leaving the kids behind with their legs trapped by the giant iguana eggs. This one isn't particular original or anything, but I really like the colours: I've not seen this film, but I heard it's not actually about a skeletal tyrannosaurus and I lost interest. Amazing poster though. R. Mute posted:One of the articles in the OP mentions that this scene was going to be the original poster. Alas, the MPAA. Yes, and this poster deserves to be seen. feedmyleg posted:True, but I think even there, there's a missed opportunity there to do something thematic with the poster. It bucks the obnoxious trend of just picking one non-representative image from the film and making a poster out of it, though. You may be able to pick up something to do with the "square" corporate atmosphere from the presence of the suspenders, or perhaps the claustrophobic framing, so at least it works on some level beyond most. This sums it up really well, a good minimalist poster should also tell you something about the film. Also, those Polish covers for the Chaplin DVDs looked like a Best of Hitler box set.

Really?! The entire cast is on the poster. Don't get me wrong, I hate Lucas and this film will likely suck, but the poster isn't that bad. From it I totally get that it's WWII and about the unsung hero black pilots.

I see what you mean though with video card font and flashy lights. Yeah I have, though admittedly not since the wicked cool late '90s. But still, the film was totally noir and that cover art totally isn't, it looks cheap and a little tacky. I like the city scape itself, but the fonts and the colour scheme are awful. Floaty heads don't have to be terrible when they're appropriate, but here it really solidified the 'computer parts box art' resemblance to me.
