Here's some decent posters for something I saw come up in my RSS netflix feed.

Good poster, but his rape face is creepy.

In this one, I really like the woods, soldiers, and dogs, but our hero is a blurry mess.

Ignoring the ripping off this poster does, why did the girl on the right just take her top off? I mean, far be it for me to complain about that sort of thing in any normal circumstance, but it's like she said, "Ah, two headed shark! I'll distract it with my tits!"

Clearly she was about to engage in hot lesbian sex with the other girl on the poster. I better get a ticket to see this movie in order to find out.

If you ever get to Disney World at the Hollywood Studios park is a great museum/movie that shows a lot of the history of Walt. Don't take your kids to see it, they will be bored out of their mind. They always keep threatening to replace it with something new, who knows how long it will remain. You walk through the museum and then end with a 30 minute movie. Its really fascinating.

The coolest thing I remember that was on display was the massive camera system that allowed Disney to have multiple scrolling backgrounds at the same time. Watch the ending of Fanatasia, the Ave Maria scene, to see it in action. I think Bambi used it too, but i can't remember which scenes.

Here's an interesting story I came across on the internet today.
http://www.businessweek.com/articles/2012-04-11/frankensteins-fraudster-sentenced-to-6-dot-5-years-in-prison

quote:

Kerry Haggard is being called the “Bernie Madoff of the movie-poster industry.” The 47-year-old con man paid an unnamed New York City printing company to make high-quality ink-jet copies of vintage monster-movie posters to sell online, and traded the fake one-sheets with friends and fellow collectors for authentic ones, reported the New York Post.

On April 9, in Manhattan federal court, the Commerce (Ga.) resident was sentenced to the maximum 6.5 years in prison and ordered to pay $1.38 million to his victims.

...

His counterfeit lobby cards and posters included The Mummy, Frankenstein, The Mummy’s Hand, Murders in the Rue Morgue, and Werewolf of London, which were airbrushed and otherwise altered to appear authentic. Using sites like EBay (EBAY), Haggard sold posters for $500 (for a Mummy’s Tomb lobby card, for example) to $5,000 (for Son of Frankenstein) to about 25 victims.

Does anybody collect old movie posters like this? Have you been burned by any fakes?

Here's a basic plot summary for Oz.
http://content.usatoday.com/communities/entertainment/post/2012/07/disney-unveils-new-oz-movie-poster/1

quote:

The film, directed by Sam Raimi, stars Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, Michelle Williams and Zach Braff, and focuses on the wizard, Oscar Diggs, played by James Franco.

He's a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, who is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, according to a DisneyPictures release. He's thrilled with his newfound fame and fortune, until he meets three witches, Theodora (Kunis), Evanora (Weisz) and Glinda (Williams), who are not convinced he's a great wizard.

As the story unfolds, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil, and along the way he transforms not only into the great and powerful Wizard of Oz but into a better man, as well.

Release date: March 8, 2013.

Of more interesting note is the release date. March is starting to become a crowded release period for blockbuster movies.
