I love the aesthetics of the trailer. Hadn't heard anything regarding this movie, but drat does it look visually stunning. It has a District 9 vibe to it or something. Maybe it's the white armor/weapons, heh. I guess this and Elysium are my top sci-fi films to look out for this spring/summer.

I found that trailer to be very confusing and somewhat generic.

I don't know, I got a decent grasp of the film from the trailer I think. Tom Cruise is one of the last humans on earth after decades of warring with an alien species. Despite winning the war, the human race bailed into space as a result of that interstellar confrontation leaving the earth in a state of desolation. Cruise is a repairman of some kind, fixing up drones that are (what I assume) cleaning up/prepping earth for the return of the human race.

Jack (Cruise), only has 2 weeks left before his shift is over, but unfortunately comes into contact with maybe some stowaway aliens who got left behind, and eventually gets captured by some kind of underground resistance/war refugees led by Morgan Freeman. The rest is up in the air regarding those two bits, but for the most part, it feels very much like an action oriented WALL-E, like The Slipper Nipple mentioned.

I guess I should applaud Zack Snyder for showing the restraint not to use that stupid bit of choreography that shows up in all of his movies where a character lands in a crouched position, legs spread, preferably in slow-motion, then looks up menacingly at the camera.

I'll eat my hat if Superman doesn't do that in this film though.

That's the 3-point stance, and yeah I'll agree, that poo poo is overused. Not just in Snyder's films though... pretty much everywhere. You can thank anime for that.

He's probably saying that the movie takes place in THIS reality, and by doing that by doing that, physics already exists. The boat already existed before all the scifi elements appear, therefore the boat would have to abide to the laws of physics. Unless there's some strange explanation such as, when a robot touches something it changes its physical properties, it has to.

This really is one of dumbest things to nitpick about the trailer. Why someone would have a problem with the ship not breaking while being swung is hilarious. Nothing against you and your post or anything.

It's a yahoo.net trailer, I don't know how to link those.

It looks really rushed. Not that I want to see a 3 our bio-epic about Steve Jobs.
I wonder if they even mention the NEXT.

I can only see Ashton Kutcher in this trailer, and it is distracting. I want Sorkin's take to get rolling already with Christian Bale as Steve. I already prefer it because of its unorthodox structure, and I'm sure it's going to be significantly better.

He then wakes up with a set of horns growing out of his head that cause people to either tell him the truth or bring out their darkest impulses. Its not much of a clip but it is kind of interesting to hear Daniel Radcliffe's (quite good) American accent.

Yeah, saw this clip the other day and my brain was hurting because Radcliffe's American accent sounds NOTHING like he did in Harry Potter. It's like he was dubbed.
