Freedom seems great according to everyone I know who uses it, particularly those with phones that support the newer frequencies. I think they're expanding to a new low frequency band that should essentially get rid of reception issues by September as well if their call to investors was any indication

Koodo deals are even better this week at Mobile Shop in Superstore/Loblaws, at least the ones I've seen. There's a $50 credit on top of whatever deals Koodo is offering. I don't need a new phone myself but it seemed worth repeating because their stores are probably less busy than Koodo ones too.

I hope Freedom doesn't suck, I'm switching from Telus to it on Friday. Their S10+ pricing is about $15 a month cheaper than Telus and $400 cheaper upfront with an S7 trade on and it comes with a poo poo pile more data.

What's the consensus on Freedom mobile?

They recently moved to my city and have a promo for their "Big Gig Unlimited" which is 10GB of LTE for $45.

I am presently on public mobile and use about 2GB (3G) in a month, but a significant reason of that is because I'm home and just do all my updates/downloads on my home network.

I do a fair amount of highway driving and will be between Freedom networks quite a bit, but probably won't do much data when I'm between them.

Thoughts?

Are you in Lethbridge? If so, they're fine unless you live on the outskirts or in the northern part of town. I was told they plan on rapidly expanding in the area, whatever that means.

If you're in Kelowna (I think that's their only other recent city?) then no idea, sorry.
