The Unspecifieds bring Babe Ruth. Also, a solid but unspectacular infield or an adequate bullpen, but let's be honest, if you want to team up it's because of Ruth.

I have an excellent outfield (Ruth, Mantle, Gwynn) and a decent-ish bullpen (it got rated as the top in my division in the preview, not that that's saying much). The only issue is that my catcher situation isn't wonderful, but there's a high chance that will be fixed in the Super Draft. Finally, our teams are both in Central America, which means it's probably destiny. Therefore, we should form a tag team and guarantee our survival.

Carpenter to DL, put Wells into the rotation and that's about it for my pitchers so I guess one of the randomly generated players comes up into the bullpen. In a semi-related note, I would like to trade for a late first or early second round pick, though my team is pretty bad so I'm not sure what people would want from it.

rabidsquid posted:Pick 'em, champs retain! Given our team's performances, you should probably have the first go. I don't have a spreadsheet, but you can get my roster post by looking at my posts (I don't post much). Also, Unspecifieds draft Addie Joss '03 Insert him as the #1 starter, move Halladay to DL, move everyone else down one spot to fill in. Monicro is up.

Morris to DL, Carpenter back into his spot, if that slot comes up while Carpenter is still injured just skip over it once.

Pash posted:I will sit here hoping for another Lynx WNBA win because if it were not for them Minnesota has not been a champion at anything since 1991... I guess the gophers might have won some college hockey things... but... eh... college... Not only have none of the four major sports teams been a champion since 1991, none has even been to a championship game. My sympathy for Smasher's list is decidedly limited

Unspecifieds pick 1970 Harmon Killebrew. Insert Killebrew into the 3B slot in all lineups, send Howard Johnson to AAA Also, put Morris back in the SP4 slot, Wells back in LR, and Rozema back to AAA. Either habeasdorkus and the Outsourcers or johnfw50 and the Shardblades are up, I don't know if we're outright skipping the Outsourcers or what.

cbx posted:I don't have a need or want for another Foxx though. I have a prime year Foxx at 1B/C, and he doesn't put up superstar numbers in my park with my players, so doubling down isn't a good idea. I have a Whitaker, but I don't really have a backup for him, so I'm not sure there's a deal we could make right now. If I survive the gauntlet and you're still looking though, remind me to try to figure something out

cbx posted:Yeah, I doubt anyone is going to offer an 85-87 version of him any time soon. 25 years old is pretty good. Are you interested in my Lajoie for him? I also have a Robinson Cano, but he's really just a backup. After doing some research, given my current pitching staff I think I prefer Whitaker's better defense. You'll probably have a good chance to trade for a dispersal draft pick to get him though!
