Rude Dude With Tude posted:Absolutely ludicrous thing, this. Possibly some eccentric old boy's lifetime work because there's some very... inventive... use of air lines and belts OK, I'm like 14 minutes in, and WTF. You were not kidding. That's and impressive number of levers, lines, hoses, bits, and bobs. Air door locks? Some sort of actuator or shock on the driver's door. Supplemental air ride. Who knows what else. Jensen Interceptor engine just means a Chrysler 318, right? Pretty sure that's Carter AFB or Thermoquad on top. Looks right and starter sounds Chrysler. Fake edit: he just took the starter off, and yep, Chrysler.

Olympic Mathlete posted:ESPECIALLY Thai people, they have drag races for pretty much everything with an engine and that youtube channel has documented a lot of them. He's done those tractors in the dirt and on a proper drag strip, dragon boats fitted with turbo 4cyl Toyota 4AGEs, Toyota 4 cyl diesel trucks (the small ones the US doesn't get), all sorts of insane bikes from 50cc 2 strokes and up... There's just a crazy amount of small engine tuners over there it seems and entire markets dedicated to selling speed parts. I'd love to see it for myself, just roll up to an event and chug cheap beers with the locals and see some truly silly racing. Yeah, I've seen a couple of his videos on the little D-Max (and other small diesel) pickups, just never *rice tractors*, LOL. Of course I immediatley followed that video up with the one on 150cc motorcycles, and larger diesel trucks.

Saw that yesterday before seeing it here! (I subscribe to him.) Surprisingly, it *wasn't* that bad. Those, um, fabricated spring shackles were terrible, but mostly just detritus from sitting.

Ether Frenzy posted:And this is at least 150% cooler than the CYBERTRVKKK Big chunky tires do a lot to ease the awkward body. The Aztek's biggest styling issue, to me, was that they put tiny wheel openings and wheels/tires on it compared to the concept car, presumably a result of stretching it over an existing minivan platform. The lack of grey Tupperware on that later model does help as well. https://www.motortrend.com/news/thread-of-the-day-what-if-the-pontiac-aztek-concept-had-gone-to-production-unchanged-192105/ wesleywillis posted:People are now liking Pontiac rear end-teks. Now, every car is ugly and the Aztek is just 'a' car. The baggage it has is for old people like you and I, to younger people they see it and go 'neat, it's red! What's Pontiac?' Appearance aside, it had a great interior, and nifty options like the tent that actually was functional <side-eyes Cyber-Tent>. quote:I also never thought the Subaru Tribeca was so ugly to deserve the hate it got, but alas. The grill was weird, and the rest of it was boring as hell. It was also a gigantic car for a Subaru. Or seemed like it, at least. Not a bad car, per se, though. Olympic Mathlete posted:Correct thread. Have you seen "Lets Learn Something" on YT? Philipino dud who does something similar. He's made working ICE engines out of just about anything with pistons, including a swash-plate AC compressor. He's been slowly upgrading his equipment as YT has made him money. In the beginning, everything was stick welded. Now he's TIG welding and has procured some decent machine tools. And now look what he's done for his 100th video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KX6FnYgXdHM The fabricated crankshaft is impressive.
