VikingSkull posted:Pagani, though.... Pagani gets it. They totally understand what a supercar was originally meant to be. Sure, they are fast. Exceptionally fast. They are technically impressive, and they are exclusive. All of that you can get elsewhere, though. What they nail is the extravagance, the presence of a supercar. That interior is like a Swiss pocketwatch, it's exquisite, it's a literal work of art. Pagani makes works of art, emotional cars that require the owner or spectator to think about what they are viewing, or driving. It's more than just being fast or handling, it's more than being exclusive, or offering exclusive levels of performance at a price for the everyman. They are more "super" than almost any other supercar can lay claim to, and god do I love them for that. Also, the parking brake lever is made to look like a penis.

here's some ugly old car I found nah just kidding Kaiser I by atomicthumbs, on Flickr Kaiser II by atomicthumbs, on Flickr It's a 1951 Kaiser Traveler, which was Kaiser's take on a sorta pseudo-station wagon. The trunk is connected to the rear seats, and the roof section with the rear window lifts up. It's for sale for $16,000 near where I live, and is equipped with a dual-range Hydramatic transmission for the best in driver convenience.

The Boston Public Library put an enormous collection of documentary photos of wrecked cars from the early 20th century online here. It's impressive how horribly mangled cars could get at the low speeds back then when they weren't designed with safety in mind. You can embed them in the forum by clicking the "share" button above the photo. Truck crashes through garage several stories up East Cambridge by Boston Public Library, on Flickr oops

I'm fairly sure I saw a Lamborghini Reventón in Santa Clara today. I didn't get a good look at it because we passed it quickly, but my dad got a better look and says the Reventón rear matches what he saw. The reason we passed it quickly was because it was broken down in the middle of the street with its flashers on. Edit: I think it was actually a Gallardo, looking at more photos. atomicthumbs fucked around with this message at 08:56 on Mar 10, 2013 |

I was wondering the other day if you could pep up a DMC-12 by replacing the PRV with a Volvo B230FT. I know that the Volvo 760 and 780 used the PRV to start with and later got B230FTs when the PRV turned out to be kinda garbage.
