I don't mind this one. They've obviously put some effort into making the front end look right, and fitting the wheels to the arches. The whole thing looks kind of like a matchbox car. If the tyres were a bit thicker I could see it become some sort of X5 kind of thing.

I first noticed the rusty painted wheels and the dumb stickers, but the joy of this is the giant exhaust barely attached to the underside of the car at a weird angle. Driven by two women with identical fake tans, hair extensions and giant sunglasses.

Powershift posted:You are mistaken. it's basically 2 rods connected to each end of the handlebars, so you pull one back and push the other forward to turn. Yes, but where do you sit to do that? Unless it's an optical illusion the holes seem to be central on the windscreen, so you'd have to be in the middle. Is that central bit a third seat? If so, where are your legs supposed to go? Are the other two seats decorative? If so, what's the point? Oh wait, the windscreen isn't central, is it? So all the rain coming off the passenger side is going straight into the passenger's face?

Apparently it was originally a crazy concept made in memory of Sergio Pininfarina, but some rich people offered them absurd money to build it for real, so they're going to make six. They're going to have to put a windscreen on it though, which sort of ruins the fun.

The first one is a 2007 Coupe (I don't know if these were a thing in America), and the second one is a Ferrari F430, that they were accused of ripping the design from. As I said, I don't really see it myself. The third one is a 2002 Celica, which the Coupe has always reminded me of, although seeing them side by side it's mostly superficial - the general proportions and the shape of the lights. Bonus

I found a fascinating article about why countries drive on the side of the road they do, which is not a sentence I was expecting to type when I woke up this morning. Short answer is after the war, because being different to the British was the in thing, for obvious reasons. Also it turns out the reason in Japan is "because we built their railways".

You never saw a Cayenne before? They're all over the place in the UK. I have no idea why either, I can only guess it's something like "I want a big 4x4, but I also need to show off more than a Range Rover allows". Oh, right, it's a new smaller one. Meh. InitialDave posted:My friends are looking for an SUV-type thing under the "now we have a kid" justification, but their logic is based largely on her having a bad back from being rear-ended by a trucker (car crash, not buttsex), and the higher seating makes it easier to get said offspring in and out.
