This reminds me of Nightshade on NES. Can you send it or enable download? If I don't use it, a friend of mine probably would. Don't worry about exclusivity, I don't care if anyone uses the same beat as me because I'm going to kill them on it either way.

You can do this with Ableton too. You don't need to find drum loops. You can play out drums from whatever sample you want. You can take a drum loop or whatever and slice it to a track where you can play each part button-by-button.

Heliophage posted:I have played a lot of music and I have listened to a lot of hip hop but I haven't really combined the two until recently. I would love to get some critiques on my recent forays, both of which I used very different methods to produce: Are you looking for anyone to rap over this? I like the second one too but it seems more interlude-ish if I'm thinking rap-wise. I'd love to at least listen to the first one in rotation and see what I come up with if you can send it or enable downloads. My email is streetdoctors.com@gmail.com

Ladle Lady posted:Hey guys, it's me again. I just put a mixtape out last night featuring production from Chwoka and Ayatollah Hermione. I'd really appreciate it if I could get some analysis on what I can improve about my mixing process, writing, presentation...anything really. Thanks in advance for taking a look I'm curious if the overly frequent punch-ins is a stylistic choice or a crutch to avoid having to know your verse well enough to spit it straight through. I only played the first track. I'm just very turned off by punch-ins unless it's clearly done for style purposes and not every bar.

Yeah I definitely thought it was a klan hood when I saw it on instagram and thought it was weird/didn't get it. Track is dope though. I like the chops and effects when the vocals get weird. Ladle Lady posted:That's the only song that kind of thing is done on. I was attempting to do that cliche thing where 'it sounds like two dudes but it's actually one!!!' and clearly it didn't work this time. I definitely, definitively memorize each verse in and out before I record. Word my fault for only listening to the first one. Who Gotch Ya fucked around with this message at 00:38 on May 1, 2013 |

jerk mcgerkin posted:I want an opinion on this, I think this is the best beat I've done so far. I built the it around a Laura Branigan sample I got from an old vinyl. Id love to get a buddy to jump on it just to hear what it would sound like. This is dope. I think I could flip this concept to suit my style and I could get someone else on it who would bring something different.
