Ok I found a weird bug, but I don't know exactly how it's happening. It involves me loading a thread, reading the posts in it, going back to bookmarks and then refreshing the bookmarks. After I do that, I'll SOMETIMES see one of my bookmarks transform into a copy of another of my bookmarks. I took a screenshot: The second Seinfeld thread was actually the borderlands 2 pc thread. So it doesn't actually replace the bookmark, it just shows up wrong. This was happening last night, but I thought I was too tired and just imagining it. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with what thread I just loaded (I was in the freep thread just before this happened, not the Seinfeld one). Maybe it's something to do with new posts that happened between refreshes? The Seinfeld thread is at the top there. (I'm on whatever the latest test version is unless you pushed a new one between midnightish last night and now, I haven't checked my email yet) E: after posting this and then refreshing bookmarks: E2: not to spam the thread with screenshots, but after the next refresh: Only posting because TWO threads showed up wrong there. myron cope fucked around with this message at 17:37 on Jan 15, 2013 |

Got the bookmark fix update. Now I'm seeing this sometimes: Seems to be related to new posts being posted between refreshes. Refreshing again fixes it. Edit: scrolling also seems to fix it Also (unrelated), in the popup menu to post an image, the arrow to go "from camera" (to the right) needs hit twice before it works.

I've found the Nitpick to End All Nitpicks: when text is on the last visible line in the post box, a correction popup will come up under the keyboard. Like this: I don't know if it's just related to the (awesome awesome) shortcut bar or if it's always been that way. E: actually is there a way to get it to ignore stuff in bbcode brackets? It's trying to correct s to a, and i to I (which is fine, but unnecessary). Maybe I can only do that myself (on my device I mean)

Scuzzywuffit posted:While the little correction window pops up, I believe (just going off of personal experience here) that typing a square bracket with the suggestion up makes it ignore its suggestions and cancel the autocorrect. I can't tell if I'm doing a really bad job of explaining this, but if you just close the bracket it should go away. Hm, I've tried just ignoring it but when I hit the space bar it auto-corrects anyway. Sometimes, at least.

Loading a bookmarked thread, hitting "first" in the popup, scrolling to 1 and hitting "jump to page", and trying it in a non-bookmarked thread. Maybe try logging out and logging back in* *i think it's been fixed but...maybe not?

Is it possible to have some kind of notice when the forums aren't loading? I am at school and apparently SA is blocked. I auto-joined their wifi and when I loaded up Awful all of my bookmarks just disappeared entirely. I figured out what the problem was but I'm just wondering if the app could maybe say "hey it's not my fault, the forum itself isn't loading!"

I just tried to post again, it went through the "replying..." step and then was loading unread posts and mine didn't show up.

Posting works again, but it looks like some form of the "posts being marked read" thing from before is back. If I'm in a thread and hit the arrow or pull to load the next page, they're marked read. If I load from bookmarks they aren't. Also I got two crashes in a row when reloading bookmarks. code:
I have no idea if that is in any way useful. It loaded the bookmarks, I went to a thread, came out, refreshed, crashed.

No more crashes! Hooray! Pokey man for double pope! E: I know it's "pokeyman" but it keeps autocorrecting

I'm getting crashes while viewing some profiles (only a few). It's in the NHL n/v thread that I've seen so far. The last page, when viewing "thehustler" profile, it opens the profile screen but crashes before I can see anything. This is the crash: quote:2013-02-19 16:28:55 +0000 Awful *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '-[__NSCFNumber length]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x1fc97a90' This is the thread: http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3531553&perpage=40&pagenumber=134 I haven't seen it in other threads (yet) Also when viewing Dr Zaius profile (someone said the avatar was terrible and I wanted to see it). I don't know if it's the same crash. quote:2013-02-19 16:39:35 +0000 Awful *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '-[__NSCFNumber length]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x20886eb0' Is there any easy way to copy text from system console? Goddamn it's annoying And last edit, seems to be the poster not the thread. I found a Dr Zaius post in another thread and it still crashed myron cope fucked around with this message at 17:49 on Feb 19, 2013 |
