I only rarely go into regular forum view mode (on my iPad) - I usually find new threads on my PC. I don't mind the sidebar being open all the time, but I wouldn't mind it being a slide in/out thing either.

I guess there were only a few of us but it still seems like the screen is just a bit too wide to read comfortably in this orientation. Would love it if this was possible I would like this too. Way easier to quickly read a bunch of bookmarked threads when the panel is always open.
