I say go straight from the beginning so that you can get a pretty continual rise in quality. I re-listen to F+ all the time while working, and I pretty much never go back to the first couple of years. It's worth listening to them all at least once, but those first two years were pretty weak compared to everything after.

If you must skip around, I recommend the Dozerfleet episode (#121) and Amazon Recommends Kindleporn (#71). They're the episodes that I don't mind coming up on shuffle no matter how recently I last heard them. The 100th(ish) episode extravaganza is also really good.

X-Ray Pecs posted:

They said in the MRA episode that they don't want another one and people shouldn't send them docs for it, because the material is so horrible and disturbing.

Also, I suspect it would probably be fairly same-y. They covered all the glorious colors in the MRA rainbow pretty well. It's not one of those things that's new when you make it slightly different, like terrible fan fiction.

I always love when they read something where your first, gut reaction is "That's loving stupid. No one would do that." Then you have to remind yourself that, yes, there's probably someone that stupid out there, staring lustfully at your car.

You know, I personally believe the story. I knew someone who had a fetish and was so open about it that his family knew and he got upset with people who didn't accept him for it and him following through with the fetish in public and ugh, that was a an entire mess of crazy there and I don't even know where to start. Point is, I could easily see someone getting that self-absorbed and being that blind to the rest of the world, not realizing how hosed up they are, especially if all the other people they talk to online are into vore.

If the internet has taught anyone anything, it should be that there's always someone, somewhere, stupid enough to do this stuff. And there's always someone even stupider than them, who does whatever it is and then thinks "The world must know."

Why did ProtonJon also show up on an episode?

Sometimes the bumpers were loving hilarious (I <3 "From Dusk 'Til Dog"), but for the most part I think they rarely justified the extra time they clearly took. They existed in a weird scripted/unscripted middle-ground that made them harder to do well than just jumping in like they do now. I also agree that "What Did We Learn?" is a great way to wrap up the episodes, even if it's five or so people breaking down into undisguised bafflement.

Rip Off Report is one of my favorite episodes. People getting unbelievably worked up over their fast food cheeseburger looking ugly -- to the point that they stew on it until they get home and then write a hateful screed on the internet about it -- is still amazing to me.

Yeah, that kind of thing is great, and might be another good introductory episode. Even with the used dildo from Dildo Hut.

I think it was a weak episode, especially right on the heels of Rev Bishop Dr Prof John Kitchin PhD Esq. Still, there is a thread of the usual "no guys really, this is totally normal I swear" throughout that makes it kind of funny.

I'm just curious about this, not a big deal and I love the podcast, but does anyone else find it weird that the final leg involves a choice? Like presumably it's the best material, why are they only reading one of the two? Or is it not the best? Maybe the themes are too similar (though the brief summary doesn't usually suggest this)?

They make a fun little game out of basically cutting content for time.

I had to see this "doll taped to a fleshlight", which I think is a description that is entirely inadequate in describing the bizarre whatever. Since I was in the neighborhood, I checked out all the other links in the doc, and I was struck by how many of these nightmare wanks look either bored or just dead inside. It adds a special twist to this already twisted fetish.

The whole SWIM thing sounds similar to sovereign citizen crap. "If I use the right code words, I can control the judicial Matrix."

To be honest, I thought the episode was a bit bad. The opening was really boring and long, and then there was just a little bit of the craziness I love and then it was over.

I don't think any explanation more than "GamerGate is an Internet Crusade" would be necessary, the rape-joke waifu and comparisons of RPS to Stalinist Russia would standfall down on their own merits. The problem is finding some theme other than GamerGate itself, because it is completely incoherent. "A sampler platter of many previous episodes, but also intense hatred toward a small number of very specific women plus ~SJWs~" is not the connective tissue one would need.
