Back in the 80s, my family had one of those giant satellite dishes where with the right knowledge one could record a whole week's worth of Jeopardy from the syndicate's upload feed. My friends were amazed at my knowledge and I made at least $100 off of side bets. :smug:

My brother was 3 when the current version of Jeopardy appeared. His inability to say 'Jeopardy' has led to my family calling it 'Jefferdy' to this day.

Arthur Chu is no more.

The Chu Chu train finally crashed.

His technique didn't bother me. His smugness did. From a Jeopardy! perspective, he was certainly one of the more notable contestants and I'm sure this isn't the last we'll hear from him.

This means he finally got paid. Guess he can finally afford an iron.

Actually, it could be another few weeks before he's paid. At least when I was on a game, the paperwork said I would be paid 4-6 weeks after air, and if the show didn't air, I would get zippo.

There was a contestant named Forrest that picked his category/$ randomly instead of sticking to one category and going down the dollar amounts.

The theory is it breaks the other contestants rhythm.

I for one would go across with the easy row, then go across with the hard row, then across on the middle row, then go random the rest of the way :colbert:

So much of Jeopardy is Trebek’s corny personality. I can’t see myself enjoying it as much without him. I’m glad we have another couple years at least.

In fairness, this is the part of Wheel that feels like is missing, that used to be there. A lot of the fun was Sajak interacting with the contestants. Today it's all business, and the show isn't as fun to watch.
