We had a Med Corps O-5 at Ft. Rucker a couple years back who earned a reputation for stopping people at the gate who didn't turn their lights off before approaching. He would get out of his car with a big Maglite and shine it right into people's faces because he thought he had some authority over gate traffic. The best part is that the gate he was caught doing this at didn't even have a sign saying cars had to turn their lights off.
