I appreciate when a movie really cuts up the score to fit scenes as needed. Listen to the Die Hard soundtrack, or Hugo, and the you recognize half the song, then the other half either wasn't used in the movie or was cut to a different scene. It's pretty cool, yet I rarely find soundtracks like that. (They're both great soundtracks too) Why is that?

And yet they're still so great. In CaPD and Apollo, anyway. Never bothered seeing Avatar.

I have that soundtrack on my phone, it is so good. RIP Basil. I hope the new Conan that Arnold is working on is better than Destroyer at least, but I wonder what they're doing for the soundtrack.

Skoll posted:As someone else said, Civil War had a decent score. I actually liked the Batman v Superman one as well. Those are the two that really stood out for me so far. Bloodsport is a classic. And it has three montages during 80's rock ballads, it's almost parody. The original music during the final fight is perfect though and I can still remember it.

Just rewatched Logan and the score really stands out as unusual and cool in a few places, while still seeming to be appropriate for the scenes.
