Looks interesting, but I hope the combat sections are optional, or at least not a major focus. I never much liked it when Harvest Moon stopped being about farming and was more about things that weren't farming.

I just want to grow peas, carrots, and potatoes. :unsmith:

I dunno, farmers have been keeping and treating livestock animals like beloved pets then killing, cooking, and eating them for centuries. Just the way things are. :v:

Then again, my grandpa grew up on a farm and had a pet sheep and now refuses to eat mutton.

I was only able to play a few days before work, but I'm not sure I got XP credit for the fish I sold to the fish store guy, just the misc junk I put in the farm bin.

Do I have storage at the farm, or am I gonna have to beeline that backpack for more inventory space?

For the building upgrades, do they go in certain spots or do you get to pick where they go? I've got a tree seed and I'm trying to figure out where to put it.

So how moddable is this game?

Besides my very own hobo tent to let me camp out on the beach, I'm dying for a butterfly net. Feels like that's a big part of the collection aspect of these games missing without one.

All the rabbits and squirrels running around is maddening too. Wonder if SV will ever get the survival sim treatment...

A butterfly net for bugcatching would be pretty cool. They'd be the perfect gift for Vincent!

As for trapping/murdering rabbits and squirrels, have you played UnReal World? :v:

I know what you mean. I feel like I need sprinklers so I can have time to upgrade my watering can.

It takes two days to upgrade your watering can. So each morning check the forecast until you get rain the next day. Then water your crops and go upgrade the can. It'll rain the next day, keeping your plants good, and on the second day you go claim your watering can and can still water your plants (just later in the day).

Guys, complete the boiler room community center bundles ASAP. The reward is so useful. The minecarts at the bus stop, mines, and blacksmith's are repaired and allow fast-travel between them

Its not too hard to do. Just gotta get down to level 80+ on the mines in order to get fire quartz (unless you get lucky with omni geodes I guess).
