They make great swamp and offroad cars too. Or mountain climbing. Hell, pretty much anything. But I've definitely tested the swamp. I sold my grand marquis to my brother, but if ever there was a car that I felt could take on anything, it was that one. I'll probably buy another someday. Perhaps a late 90's model.

You guys are making me want a Panther again. Anyone want to trade a p71 or Mercury interceptor for my Cadillac? Anyone? Also, is it better to turbo or super a vic, in the context of street use, and what would it take to do it at a fair price? I dream of shutting up locals like the guy who spit on the Grand Marquis I sold my brother and called it a POS while revving his 90's 'Stang.

Guys, I just saw the most amazing thing: A Crown Vic Police Interceptor with police decals cruising the UK: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=viKXObHdQLc That thing is bigger than their SUV's, and I find that hilarious.

I got 16mpg overall for the 1800 miles home, which I think is pretty good for towing 4000lbs and keeping up with the speed limits. I have to say that I am really impressed with the P71, best $3800 I have spent on a car. It's only the best Sedan... no, best car that the USA has ever produced, no big deal.
