Found millionaire mom's twitter account linked directly from her business' website: https://twitter.com/fundher

Down on March 20th, you can see where she apparently spammed her KS to dozens of people, including Lady Gaga and Ellen Degeneres.

When the guy can't even edit his pitch segment, I doubt this is TV quality.

I'm getting a strong Birdemic: The Series vibe from this.

I bet the guy thought walking back to the camera after talking would make him look quirky and endearingly awkward. I guess the music was supposed to accentuate that? I dunno.

Also, what's with all these clips in the video? Like half the time I can't figure out what the joke is supposed to be.

"Did you know that I can bench press 50 pounds?"
"Who cares if you can bench press fifty pounds."
"Ann from Minnesota."
"That is a Kim Kardashian baby."

Is this some pop culture reference I'm just not getting? Is the joke that a Kim Kardashian baby is 50 pounds? Why? :psyduck:

Tired of your greasy hands dropping your expensive phone? Here, stick this permanent elastic band on it.

It's an okay idea, but it seems to me like you'd be just as likely to drop whatever you've stuck this to just trying to wiggle your fingers inside the bands. At least they're only 6 bucks? v:shobon:v

I can't help but think that Mighty No.9 is going to be not-that-great, and Comcept knows it.
I mean, look at this video of the near-finished game:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5jhbQ8Eik6Y

It looks like absolutely nothing special to me, and I backed it.

Maybe they shoved the Red Ash kickstarter out there before Mighty No.9 was out and people were disappointed by it and wouldn't be as enthusiastic about backing another game by them. :tinfoil:

If you need an actual physical button sitting beside you that forcibly makes you work instead of just closing facebook yourself, I don't know what to tell you.
And yes, it's flexible funding.

It's been posted in the past but here's an update on the travel jacket:
https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/world-s-best-travel-jacket-with-15-features-baubax#/story

Over 10 million dollars, nearly 46000% funded. Indiegogo themselves are advertising it like crazy.

This is getting out of hand.

Alright, another weird wallet!

This one comes in all different configurations, even one for your keys in case they're not cumbersome enough and you have only four of them!

But I think my favorite is the version just for cards. You get to yank little ribbons to get to them so your wallet looks like it has tentacles once you find your debit card :cthulhu:

Indiegogo is apparently processing refunds now:

indiegogo posted:

New feature update: We’re saving you time by processing refunds.

With Indiegogo now quickly processing refunds, backers who change their minds after contributing will be much happier, and provided funds haven’t been disbursed, you won’t have to worry about managing refund requests.

Backers asked for a simple way to receive refunds, and since early September, we’ve been following this refund policy. Now, backers can request a refund for eligible contributions directly within the Indiegogo product, without having to contact the campaigner or Indiegogo's customer happiness team.

Since September 1st, we’ve only received refund requests for a very small percentage of contributions. We will continue to notify you immediately by email if we process a refund for any contribution to your campaign.

For additional information, see our Refunds FAQ. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us, and we'll reply within 24 hours.

Best,
The Indiegogo Team

I might just be me, but "provided funds haven’t been disbursed" sounds really vague and open to abuse.

I've always loved that Kickstarter requires you to fill out the risks and challenges section, because I always scroll down to them immediately. Nine times out of ten, they say some variation of "we expect nothing bad at all to happen because we are very good :downs:"

From the rebreather IGG:

quote:

Risks and Challenges
We love a challenge. And we’ve already overcome quite a few! As previously mentioned, December 2016 is our first month for shipping. We can’t wait until the Triton is on the market. Worst case scenario, there will be a delay until January 2017.

This tells me almost nothing.

Don't most cosplayers people make their costumes themselves, or commission someone else to do it?

quote:

Building: $3,294.00
Mannequins: $48-100
Clothes Racks: $17-100
Paint: $306.00
Costumes: $10,000.00
extra items (Such as jewels, fake weapons, make-up): $5,000.00
Sign: $147.80
Cash register: $99-200
Warehouse: $700

These costs are weird, especially the sign. And not to nitpick, but you're gonna need more than that for mannequins unless you just want one.

I checked.
