Man there was a lot of stuff that got skipped over. Everyone's full courses, and the rest of the 4 kings literally did nothing for the remainder of the fight. Ah well. This was a good chapter.

I love Toriko. It wasn't perfect by any means, and it was a bummer that each of Acacia's Full Course items didn't get their own arc. However, each chapter was fun, which is a lot more than can be said for some of the poo poo I read. This was a great chapter looking back on some really good moments and I'm gonna miss the manga. Still no Libear though, too bad.

Agree that I would have happily read an arc for each of Acacia's full course dishes and am sad that both they and thus the other Four Kings' big moments were cut for time, but despite that Toriko finished strong as hell and just as ridiculous as it should have been, which I think can be defined by the loving horrifying final boss Neo wearing a cute lil' tux and munching with the gang. Looking forward to the final chapter but that one alone was infinitely better than the majority of shonen endings. Bleach, Naruto, Reborn, I was beginning to think a shonen manga just couldn't end well anymore. Though Nisekoi was alright and AssClass was fantastic so were are of course exceptions.

the actual ending of naruto was fine once all the nonsense with the moon lady out of nowhere was resolved. sasuke was being a dick for no reason (again), naruto smacked the stupid out of him, and then they finally became friends. not very inspired, but adequate.

while many of toriko's full course menu items came from the gourmet world arc, none of the garnishings and additional ingredients did. speaking of the gourmet world, is anyone else still kinda perplexed by that time skip where toriko rescued komatsu off-panel and then they had a year long honeymoon in the gourmet world? that was a really weird sequence, even for toriko.

I have Crohn's disease and it makes it really hard to eat. Like, not just physically. You don't feel any sense of hunger even after forgetting to eat 2 meals in a row. Your brain, however, seems to adjust to this. If it can't give you hunger pangs, it starts giving you flavor cravings. You suddenly can't stop thinking about how great bacon tastes, or pickles, or ice cream, grilled cheese, fried chicken, whatever. The point is, when you can't eat a lot of food, your appreciation for food porn goes through the roof, because it's a genuine motivator to eat when you don't have the natural drive to. Food porn can remind you how delicious something tastes and remind you to eat. In that sense, Toriko has seen me through some really rough times and it's one of my favorite stories. Thanks Toriko. That fanart is the best thing. Sad to see Toriko go, but it ended exactly as it should have- Still escalating to even greater and more absurd heights with every chapter. Plus Toriko and Komatsu's Gay Space Cruise. Loved the spread of Toriko fishing too.
