For all the criticism about Starjun not being properly established, this is an awesome fight. I love it. I'm continually astonished how much more brutal it becomes with every chapter.

So, here's my question: where are we now in terms of factions at play? We got the Good Guys (Toriko and Granny and co), the Bad Guys (evil old lady, Starjun, etc), and then a third party lead by the old guy chef and maybe masterminded by either a mysterious Joa or a bunch of fat businessmen hiding in a bunker? And then this Frohze person who doesn't seem to be there for the same reason the third party is, but isn't exactly acknowledged by Starjun's side either, and now Jiro who currently isn't aligned but may be about to pick a side. What agendas do we know about so far? What's the deal with the fat businessmen?

My prediction: remember how Komatsu's heart was like, sent into subspace or something like that? I think Sunny, the only one who had his guard down for an instant, received the full blow of an attack that sent him to the weird subspace thing.

Fabricated posted:The only problem is that Neo has the whole "Can eat all attacks somehow" armor. I dunno, this manga has been pretty clever with those kinds of problems. My favorite was the gorilla who was immune to poison, so Coco gave it an addictive drug instead and let it go through withdrawal.

Hold on, is Neo now separate from Acacia's body?

The pace sort of makes sense. If all the ingredients except God are guarded by the king animals that are more or less equally powerful, then the ingredients should be more or less equally difficult to get. The first ingredient will be the hardest, and once you eat it the second one will be relatively easier, and once you've eaten your second meal and powered up, its feasible that rest will be relative cakewalk.

I have Crohn's disease and it makes it really hard to eat. Like, not just physically. You don't feel any sense of hunger even after forgetting to eat 2 meals in a row. Your brain, however, seems to adjust to this. If it can't give you hunger pangs, it starts giving you flavor cravings. You suddenly can't stop thinking about how great bacon tastes, or pickles, or ice cream, grilled cheese, fried chicken, whatever. The point is, when you can't eat a lot of food, your appreciation for food porn goes through the roof, because it's a genuine motivator to eat when you don't have the natural drive to. Food porn can remind you how delicious something tastes and remind you to eat. In that sense, Toriko has seen me through some really rough times and it's one of my favorite stories. Thanks Toriko. Thoriko.
