Is there any huge "blow your socks off" capstone we just haven't seen yet? The fighting dragons are cool, but I haven't really seen anything groundbreaking and this ends tomorrow.

Let's do the space-time warp again!

I guess they just threw in the weirdest and least compelling expansion so far.

I am finding myself in the very weird position where I am put off Reaper and am probably going to end up sinking my spare cash into GW's new Necromunda release.

I've legit found myself thinking in recent days that for all GW's sins they've not, so far as I know, actually doubled down on covering for an alt-right troll and that maybe some of their stuff would help me get back into wanting to paint again.

Then I remember they literally made bigger space marines so they could make all the people who'd already bought all the space marines buy all the space marines over again and also they still think a plastic character model is worth $30.

Don't you remember GW's CEO outing himself as a bigot in a letter to the share holders?

To be slightly more fair, they made bigger space marines because the new modernized sculpts are fuckin' baller, and don't replace the old line.

They probably will down the road, because they look so much loving better that it's ridiculous. Also, the crazy guy isn't CEO anymore, IIRC.

She's an artist who works in the theatre, so is less likely to be a conservative shitlord as well

I get the impression she's just about the Australian woman version of the Perry brothers, just top people

e: Oh man, she also did the interior design for what used to be my favourite bar before it closed a few years ago, and got replaced with a cookie cutter 'modern pub and sportsbar'

The Perry brothers seem like really cool guys who are incredibly talented and living the life historic. They've worked on the Royal Armouries' Agincourt diorama and Peter Jackson's Gallipoli diorama.

They might be secret jerks or something, but if they are they've managed to hide it for 30+ years.

Yeah, Victoria is definitely good people, a light read of some public posts and she's pro animal, pro environment, pro LGBT rights, pro union, pro socialist policies like public health and housing, anti Rupert Murdoch, very anti Tony Abbott and the Liberal party (our conservatives)

Feel confident in giving her money

Not many people can say they lost an arm in a cannon explosion. And not many people can say that after losing their dominant hand they could sculpt the mother loving Green Knight.

Yea, someone made a super patronizing post telling her she should send more time studying the female form to grasp its subtleties (more boobs) and her response was more or less 'I think I'm set, I own a mirror you dink.'

All that and she's really friendly in person as well, or at least she was at this year's Adepticon (where she was on the floor at the Reaper booth, in "disguise" as just a random sales clerk). Lamb deserves so much more recognition and credit in this hobby.

the Kickstarter has ended with 3,1 million dollars. That's about same as the previous Bones kickstarters (3.4 , 3.2 and 2.7 million dollars)

Very good selection this year, with plenty large terrain pieces as new category.

All during the project as I added stuff to my pledge manager to get a feel for what the final shipping costs would be, new items added a few cents to a dollar here and there, and it topped out just under $20.

Today, post project, I went and looked at it, and the shipping for the same lot has shot up to $127.

Bait.

and.
