You know, I kinda don't get where the "Souma represents the everyman" thing came from? I mean, I get that he's from a pretty typical line-chef background without a fancy upbringing or anything, but he's also competing with the top dogs of the school. He's constantly scored highly in both classes and competition. He makes Gundam's out of carrots and celery. So he's pretty clearly a very talented chef.

I guess I kinda don't get where this chapter is coming from at all? It's weird and doesn't have meat roller coasters and I've already seen this manga do serious time better than this. Filler at it's most filler-esque.

Souma represents the everyman relative to the fact that the school is full of top-of-the-line magical cooking geniuses. He's merely an /regular/ cooking genius with no fear that tries his absolute best at all time and refuses to make excuses for himself.

Not that it's all that surprising because I think the last bonus chapter was just an excuse to make 20 or so pages of Alice and Erina in beach-wear.

There isn't even a little character interaction in this one, it's just 'Saeki Shun draws porn of other anime while Erina Japanesely reacts'

A link to this one is probably actionable.

No, seriously, look up - if you had actually read any of the poo poo you're bitching about you would have noticed the discussion was that tosh's art over-sexualizes everything so when an abusive father shows up, it comes off like he's a pedophile. Nobody seriously suggested Azami actually sexually abused Erina.

Congratulations for finding an excuse to use the phrase "self-flagellating" in a sentence, though.

The problem with food hitler is that his introduction is completely serious even though the rest of the manga is pretty silly and light-hearted. Even the previous deathly serious cooking battles have been held over fairly trivial stakes, aside from those that Souma inflicts on himself. Sure, the dude works better with pressure, but even his opponents don't particularly want him to give up being a chef.

If you don't find his overblown seriousness and INTENSELY SHADOWED FACE hilarious in and of itself I don't know what to tell you

Ever since Souma got his knife back he went directly into the modern Vegeta position.
