It's gotta be something from the actual episodes that's so incredibly stupid the other thread just writes it off until the episode airs. Doctor Who SPOILERS: "Welcome to Heaven. The Doctor is my boyfriend."

If Deep Breath is anything like the script that leaked, it's going to be one of the worst episodes of the revival. Hope you like Moffat women, lolrandom dinosaurs, and catchphrases.

Wasn't it the Sheriff who was beheaded and it's revealed that he was a robot or something? How the gently caress do you edit that and still have anything make sense? Holy poo poo am I looking forward to the other thread's reaction.

Not only would that reveal by awful, but the general fandom would love it and embrace it and it would become even more popular than River and at that point I'd have to find the tallest bridge around and jump.

A far more likely explanation is that the bus was rented, placed in the shot, they didn't notice the advert on the side until afterwards, and didn't want to waste money with a reshoot. So now it's an easter egg. You turbonerds.

Riptor posted:did you even look at the picture No, no, you see, clearly this is meant to be an intentional hint that a long-forgotten location from a 50 year-old serial is returning. After all, if it had been a mistake, they would have just changed the bus and reshot the scene, what with the infinite time and budget that all modern BBC shows have.

Here's the shot uncropped in 1080. Unless the shot lingers for more than a second, there's no way anyone would ever notice what the poster is. It's to show "holy poo poo, we're definitely in London and look at all these trees " Turbonerds.

Maybe not so much in writing or tone, but this season looks like an RTD season shot in HD. It's like Moffat brought back a bunch of RTD-era cameramen and cinematographers. Or maybe not, I know almost nothing about the production side of this show.

I really don't think Adams' writing would suit any of the revival Doctors, except maybe 9. You would really need either a completely alien Doc (4) or a slightly dull everyman (5) for it to work.
