I remembered this post while watching ep2 and had a good laugh. Supposedly Nisemonogatari is the peak of perversion for the whole series though so nothing to worry about.

My interpretation of all the characters is that they realize they're stuck in an anime which is why they bounce between reasonable character and traditional WACKY ANIME character. Whenever characters are being perverted they're in wacky anime mode.
