Serious FD questions. Is Banzai Racing a well known tuner of FDs? Should that weigh in on a potential purchase?

the spyder posted:I'm going to cautiously answer yes- only because I have not worked on a car he has tuned. I have used his base maps, but I had to adjust them for our climate here in Oregon. Well the seller's behavior has turned me off of the car. I think I'm going to wait a bit longer, add to the budget a bit and start looking again in at the end of fall.

So uh...three chainsaws huh? I bet there's not much of a homeless problem in your neck of the woods.

Ask for a VIN, see if any accidents show up on CF or AC. If they do see what he says to that.

That server cabinet would make an amazing kegerator if you insulated it properly.

So Spyder I am curious, since you seem to be able to find these cars so easily. Do you ever find, rebuild and sell FDs for people?

the spyder posted:Yes, but it usually costs way to much and takes forever. How much is "way too much" by your estimate? What if there was no time limit and a reasonable budget?

Wouldn't it have been easier to insulate before you put those machines in place?
|
# ¿ Dec 8, 2014 22:46 |
|
the spyder posted:Yes. But due to a half dozen things, the machines had to move. It's hard to see, but 99% of them are mobile and at least 20" away from the walls. We will move them closer in after the walls are insulated and sheathed. Ah gotcha. I just have experience with moving a poo poo ton of stuff and then realizing you have to move it again after everyone has left.

Extra posted:It's kinda more that spyder could have easily recovered 100% of what he paid because that's how paypal works. A smart seller will first try to get the person to not file a claim, and when they do file a claim negotiate a partial refund rather than be out everything. He probably got notice of the claim, poo poo his pants a little when he realized he was about to be out both the motor and the money so he sucked it up and made the call.
