Morgoth posted:Consider me another satisfied customer, SPERG is loving awesome based on a few minutes reading about the perks and applying them to my character. The best thing, the literally best thing for my stabbing-sometimes-cantrips thief is the scrubtier Flame Affinity perk in the Destruction tree. Nothing incentivizes having Flames in your other hand than a small chance of 300% weakness to fire for a moment. It's actually amazingly powerful at 40-so destruction where I mainly use Firebolts or whatever. I can take a huge bite out of things with a flurry of dagger hits until the target flashes orange and then dual-casting a Firebolt point blank.

There's a whole class of weapons I won't use because it looks so drat silly having the handle sticking out two feet above my head. You need NifSkope and an extracted skeleton mesh that should hang around in Meshes\actor\characters\character assets. It's a .nif file. Basically you just find the right ball and then tweak the Translation and Rotation coordinates that place it in 3D space. I used it to tone down the size and huge gorilla arms that normally come with the "buff beast people" thing and also moved back the "shield on back" node from another mod so it doesn't clip with the knapsack from Frostfall. If it's any reassurance, I know literally nothing about Bethesda modding or 3D modeling and I could still just feel my way around this thing.

If you've played a Skyrim character past level 10 or so, you will have experienced the things that SPERG changes for the better. Boo dumbass "+10% damage with thing, rank 1/5" stuff that encourages maxing out single trees, yay unique effects and benefits that play in tandem with other skills.

If not, were are the links to the texture packs? There doesn't seem to be any. No, they aren't. ENB fucks around between input and output, during the actual rendering of things. Texture packs are all input. The texture section is still kind of a work in progress. The whole OP is being salvaged and updated from the ancient threads from the now-hidden Skyrim & SR3 subforum.

Well: 1.) Skyrim crashing when memory use exceeds 3.1GB is a thing 2.) Skyrim gobbling up tons of memory in general is a thing 3.) Patching executables to go up to the 64bit memory limit is also a thing I dunno about other of the "performance enhancer" stuff that's in there, but if your long sessions are consistently crashing after a certain amount of adventuring, it could help. I don't think that's what your problem is.

I had a little glitch-out in Windhelm where I left Ulfric's throne room a warm man and fell over frozen solid on the inn's doorstep. After a few rounds of that I checked my survival status and none of my fur garments were counting. I was naked as far as the counters were concerned. I think it had something to do with changing to an armor set in the SkyUI favorite menu.

So I got to Avanchnzel and the last two ghost encounters aren't firing properly. The scene where Roots is supposed to die horribly just has all three ghosts file up against the closed door, then the human mercenary shouts "Wait!" and they all disappear. The final scene near the Lexicon pedestal never kicks off and the ghosts just stand there forever. I do have the USKP and the patch apparently fixed this stuff years ago. Is there a script I can kick in the reset button to make things work?

Viperix posted:So SPERG sounds great on paper, but how does it seem to work out in practice for people? Does it work well with gameplay mods like Duel Combat and Path of Shadows? Does the perk every other level still allow you to heavily invest in 4-5 trees? How does it affect leveling speed overall? I ask that in particular because I've found most of my playthroughs only make it to the mid 30s and I was thinking about changing the skill rates in the Uncapper so that I could actually enjoy some of the higher level content. I had some trouble getting Path of Shadows to work with it, but I could've just been doing stuff wrong. There are no more "+10% damage, rank 1/5" point sinks taking away your fun, there is an automatic set of perks you get just for reaching the skill rank milestones and you can respec yourself at will. You can experiment a lot more. I feel like the skills are going up faster all over the board.

Try running Process Explorer in the background while you play and see what the final memory usage reads out as when you do crash.

Yeah, as long as it's just meshes or texture stuff, you're safe with hotswapping things in and out. When you start messing with actual in-game objects in the actual in-game world, then the strands start tangling up.

The stuff that alters the skeleton (sheath placements, quiver placements, bodypart size and scale and so on) doesn't merge just like that. All of those things are contained in the one .nif file that gets overwritten. However, some enterprising prick took it on himself to merge changes from different skeleton replacers according to what was popular and was requested. Maybe you can find a skeleton that caters to those mods there?

You can just take the xp32 whatever and input the swolecat attributes yourself in nifskope. It's all just different Scale numbers on different nodes. Let me recite the changes, all of the values default to 1x. Remember that left and right bodyparts need to be adjusted separately. Standard: NPC Root: 1.05x Thighs: 1.05x Calves: 0.9x Spine: 0.95x Spine 2: 1.05x Neck: 0.95x Clavicles: 1.05x Upper arms: 1.1x Forearms: 0.9x Hands: 0.95x If you want the heavy version, use these numbers instead where appropriate: NPC Root: 1.1x Thighs: 1.1x Spine: 0.9x Upper arms: 1.2x Hands: 0.85x The default pose isn't really designed for the body that this produces, though. I've tried adjusting the arms to hang a little closer to the torso to get rid of those huge swinging gorilla arms, but the success has been limited. I need to experiment more.
