For those wanting a dark theme, I've been working on this one.

I've adjusted the edge padding a wee bit in here too and fixed the spoiler display from my last one.

I feel like I'm missing something obvious. How do I actually apply this theme? I noticed you or someone said to make a folder "Awful" in the internal memory and throw it in there.

That's correct. Once it's in that folder the name should show up in the theme selector.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong :( Tried clearing cache, then tried clearing data. Nexus 4, 4.3 stock, if it matters, though it sounds like I'm just doing something wrong since no one else mentioned having an issue.

That did it, thanks guys. I appreciate it! Also thanks for the app everyone and the theme spanky.

E: Never mind, I think spanky's theme just has read posts as the same color as the new dark theme. I'm dumb.

Quick question about something I probably missed by not following the thread closely. Avatars are only showing 1/4 until I click to see av text and other options. I'm on a stock Nexus 4 running 4.4, and whatever the latest market version of the app is. Also using spanky's dark theme. No big deal, just wondering if that's working as designed.

Have any of you tried whether enabling gifs resolves the black box problem?

Thanks, and it isn't a big deal so I don't know that I'll bother fixing it. Just thought I should mention it.

I have had a couple crashes from trying to open a thread from bookmarks. Sent reports, one last night and one a free minutes ago. It seems to happen right as the app starts to lead the thread. Nexus 5, stock 4.4.2, not rooted or anything.

I'm perfectly willing to accept that it's a hardware issue. I'd like to figure out what's triggering it, and what I can do to mitigate unexpected shutdowns.

In any case, this is all predicated on the phone springing back into life as it did the first time, although this hasn't happened yet, and it's been a couple hours longer than the first time. I think I might be looking at a short-term dumbphone :bang:

Looks like the normal tablet layout. Why do you think it shouldn't be happening?

Your library and any individual playlist are distinct... You can click "my library" and see all songs in your library. You can also make playlists that are only a subset of songs. You might want to add something to your library so it's there and not add it to any specific playlist. Adding it to a playlist does put it in your library, afaik.

My app version is (under About in Settings):
3.2.3.2

Which orientation do you generally use?
portrait

If you use portrait, which layout do you prefer to use?
Tablet. I use a Nexus 10, so plenty of space to have the bookmarks on the side, and it's a tiny bit faster always having those there, or the thread list for a subforum, than swiping back in phone layout.

If you use landscape, which layout do you prefer?
In the like two times ever that I've used it in landscape, I kept it in tablet layout

TABLET LAYOUT:
Do you like threads opening fullscreen in landscape, or would you prefer to keep the thread/forum list on the side?
I like next to the list. It wouldn't really bother me either way though, because ->

Do you like swiping around, like in the phone layout?
Swiping around is totally good, in either layout.

What do you like about the tablet layout?
Makes at least a tiny bit of use of all the dumb space on my dumb tablet.

And what's bad / stops you from using it?
As with many apps, I'm not sure a thread list is the best use of space, but I couldn't tell you what would be a better use. One thing I'd definitely like, at least on tablets, is when you're composing a reply, to have that be a card to the right. That is, you hit reply, current thread slides to the left so it is still visible, and your reply text box is visible. Besides that, I can't think of any very useful uses of tablet space.

Just chiming in to say I think this describes my experience too (Pixel, but across last couple phones too). I think if you follow the link, it'll load the page but not go to the correct post (instead, it just stays at top of page). Then if you hit back and re-follow the link to the post, I thiiink it usually goes to the post. I may be wrong, but that's how I think it works.

Yeah, that's how it should be. I don't think any app will ask to handle it if you directly paste an address into the Chrome or whatever browser bar, the browser will just do it. Not sure why Peachfart says different unless they were confused or some browsers handle it differently than I'm used to.

Edit: Just confirmed that chrome works how I said: click a link and you can open in app, paste a forum link into the address and Chrome just does it. Makes sense to me.
